    Well done everyone - this has been really entertaining. I'd ask for a slice but it might put me off my beer ( I like to get my priorities right!). I might even BUY some nice cake next week - I always seem to struggle with baking because I eat all the chocolate,nuts etc before I get to the cooking stage!!! Well done Mr BE - what's your next project? or is that it now........

    I'd be proud of that cake and I've been cooking for donkey's years. OK it's not my strongest suit, but hey the experience should count!

    You'll be into spun sugar creations next!

    Shame I couldn't stay to watch frame by frame, but maybe it was easier just to get in at the end!

    How much did the cake cost to make in the end???

    And please could we have some warning before you embark on another culinary journey so's I can arrange to have the afternoon free:rolleyes: (someone else who never got to the supermarket this afternoon!).
