    No alcohol January. No spend February
    Write down all spends over the whole year

    I don't know the chap, and he might be really honest, BUT if he is a solicitor, he knows about things like divorce, and there is just a chance that he might be making sure he is alright first, by putting his affairs in order while pulling the wool over your eyes. Get some independent advice before you do anything - that would be my advice. Sorry to sound cynical, its just that I have a few friends who have been done over by 'friendly' separations.

    You have your kids to think about as well as yourself!

    You need to know where you stand legally. He will do.

    Just one step at a time. You will find you have good friends and yes they will cope with the emotional termiol (sp) you will go through.
    Gather your strength from their support.

    I agree before you do anything - even talk to him get a bloody good solicitor - one that he doesn't know - or who does, but hates him!!

    My ex walked when I was 7 months pregnant with no2 so I know how you feel, BUT it's been almost 20 years and I have had a great life and so have my children. You have to visualise a positive future and make a plan to get what you want, (maybe not tonight but soon) don't be a victim, be strong, you can do it.;)
