The list of departments that you need to visit can be found on the opening page for your specific job. Click through the job link, "login" then agree to terms and conditions. You then reach a page which tells you the departments available. You'll need to visit these. It can be a pretty long list although it's generally more like 5 or 6 enquiries out and about on the shop floor (including counters and so on). Pretty straightforward once you get into the swing of things.

If you're there in a car then you can make a purchase of fuel - otherwise just leave it. Indeed, you should first check whether "petrol" is listed as a department on the opening page - TNS may already be aware that there is no shop.

Afternoon all- any idea how picky gyp are on what's to the left and right of stores?
Just been to a burger shop that's between two roundabouts, and I'm at a bit of a loss - on one side there's a ring road, and the other a bridge!

Just that should be fine. I've put things like "field", "houses", "road" and that's been ok. HTH

Have emailed them about the petrol. No reply as yet. Has anyone else done a shop where this has been an issue.

I don't want to miss a dept off but also don't want the fill my car with petrol and not get paid for it back (only actually put some in today lol)

Well the reimbursement isn't supposed to be for vast quantities of free fuel, but if you buy the minimum purchase you can consider the reimbursement to be a discount. But it should say on your job link whether it's included or not, so I'm a bit confused about what you need to know?

It says on my job link that i need to visit the petrol dept (I have two to do) and then in my specification it says i have a small amount to purchase a newspaper or chockie bar.

Issue is, i can't get a small item as it's a pay only kiosk. So i wont be able to get a reciept to say i've been without buying petrol.

I think i'm just being careful as it's my first shop for TNS and don't wanna make a pigs ear of things.

With regards the petrol kiosk, if there is no shop, put a tenners worth in, ask at the kiosk for chewing gum or a newspaper or something - if they really don't sell anything else, explain it in your report - you're not really going to be out of pocket, are you, 'cos petrol is something we all have to buy!

If it was me I would either:
a) IF I HAD A CAR: Purchase a small amount of fuel (say £5 to £10) so that the reimburse makes for a pretty good discount (after all, you'll need fuel anyway at some point).
b) IF I DIDN'T HAVE A CAR: Leave it. There's like one question about it in the questionnaire - they want to know how many pumps were open and how many tills were open. You can get by that and then leave a comment at the end noting that it is kiosk only.

TNS don't generally go postal on the little things - provided you explain yourself whatever you do and provided a reasonable report there shouldn't be a problem.
