Hmmm this sounds confusing, the man in the shop didn't mention the £10 expiring, in fact the example he used was the £10 would give you browsing for 5 months as you only pay the £2 for the first day each month...

If the credit does expire I'll be taking it back and complaining, his customer service skills were crap!! Normally wouldn't have bought anything but the deal seemed too good not to and my landline access has been a nuisance lately...

I got my T-mobile dongle back in November. I think the staff are trained to bamboozle their customers! You've got a great deal if it was explained to you correctly. I think i paid about £35 for my dongle inc £10 top-up. But it was explained in such a confusing manner that I'm not sure if i received everything they said I would! But like you i paid £2 for the 1st day and got 30 days free. Hope you get a better signal though, I find the connection is lost too often. But it'll do until i'm in a better position to get fixed-line broadband.

edit: Since the 1st 30 days expired, i've been paying £15/mth but you can pay £2/day or £7/week.

went to store today - was 2hrs as in every dept I had to find someone to speak to. had to find a specific ticketed item (brief just said you need a car to get it home) found it - it was huge! Am going to complain to company as I had to drive home with boot open, baby in car & now have to store it til Monday, try & get it back in the car on my own to return it!

and now I need to spend the afternoon waiting for a delivery & its lovely today!
Grr might have to mow the lawn & tidy out the front to make the most of it!

oh & a bet on the national as well!

Right..... totally off-topic here, but what does everyone think about the premise of writing to your credit card company asking for a copy of your consumer credit agreement, and if they're unable to supply it then you can supposedly get the debt (or sorry - "alleged debt") written off?

    Whatever happened to personal responsibility?

I'm surprised no-one seems to have responded to this one. I was curious when I heard a radio advert about it and had no idea what the loophole was. I did enquire on another section of mse and got very little help. I did eventually manage to figure out what the loophole was but the regs on that particular board were not very helpful and told me to research it myself - which wasn't easy since I wasn't sure exactly what I was researching and didn't know what search terms to put in.

Anyway, enough moaning. The upshot was that, after some thought, I came to the same conclusion you seem to have - ie whether or not they can produce a copy of the agreement, I did take out the debt, it was my choice and my responsibility. Really, it's a privilege to be given credit, not a right. I figured, even putting aside the moral obligation to pay off the debt... you have to bear in mind, the debt is not actually written off. It's just unenforceable. So you do still owe it, they just can't force you to pay it. Surely that marker is going to stay on your credit file and could possibly cause you problems in the future.

That's just my little opinion, for whatever it's worth.

I'm having problems uploading my crisps. All I seem to be able to do is one at a time. Usually use safari, but have also tried in firefox. Anyone else have any problems?

Wouldn't work for me either, I'm using firefox. Since you mention trying it in safari, I'm guessing you are using a mac, like me. I don't know if they are working this weekend, but I would send them an email if the photos won't upload, they have been really understanding with me over it.

My father has been email zipped files with each batch of photos because the uploader doesn't work on mac.

It just means there aren't any jobs in Bristol at the moment. I don't think you can delete towns, so don't worry about that. You'll see more jobs when the next lot are uploaded onto the site.
  • Oooh excellent! Thanks guys :D
I'll get the hang of it! heehee!
  • Finally got to experience my first ever floor show today! Was hilarious! I can understand what some of you guys mean now! Soon after I asked for a receipt, it was all action stations! Bins were being emptied, colouring in sheets and crayons were handed out to the kids and even the manager joined in, wandering around the store and even picked up a small piece of paper of the floor. Lol, fantastic!

I've made a mess up of rescheduling an assignment with GAP. I'm carrying out the chicken assignment today but have rescheduled it to tomorrow by mistake (don't ask how as I don't know!) I've emailed them to ask them if they can change the date to today to allow me to input the results into WebExpress but not sure if they'll do this for me.
Has anyone else ever done something like this?:o I'm just trying to make myself feel better now!
