The ketchup is good, the loo roll and kitchen rol's not bad and the ready salted crisps, chocolate wafer bars and cartons of orange or apple juice are all fine. We have them for treats in our house - can't remember the last time any of us had anything else.

Thank you Cuckoo, would that be because I am one of Mike's Mob? lol That thread is getting seriously out of control! lol
I went shoping at the yellow shop today. Didn't need any of the stuff you have mentioned. I don't buy the crisps or choc bars from the supermarket because I know I'd eat the lot within a very embarrassingly short time! I have however bought M Fruit n Fibre which I eat dry in place of crisps and M Mousse in place of choc bars.
I haven't bought kitchen roll for a long time because the last time I needed to it seemed expensive (it probably wasn't) but I compared it to the Value toilet rolls and decided that 12 Value toilet rolls for £1.29 would last longer as kitchen roll than 2 actual kitchen rolls for however much they were at the time. And they have! I find the toilet roll more versatile as if I just want to wipe a wet coffee ring I only need 1 sheet of toilet roll as opposed to 1 sheet of kitchen roll. I usually get the Super Soft toilet roll although I always check the "per roll" price on the labels as sometimes smaller packets of Andrex are cheaper! Watch out for that.
I bought more Value spaghetti for 14p per tin (I love it!), risked another 18p on the Value rice pudding (risked because it's still untested as yet). I liked the sliced peaches (especially for 24p!) so got some more of them. I bought some Value ham (£1.64 for 400g approx 40 slices), I know it's reconstructed stuff and full of salt and water but I like it and it's the only reconstructed meat I'll eat. Actually I hardly eat any meat!
Value new potatoes (24p per tin) enough for 2 meals with veg (I love spuds) or I'll eat a whole tin with some melted cheese on them if I'm being a lazy cow and can't be bothered to do the veg! lol
So my food bill for this week was £8 and that will last me longer than a week because I have some veg left from last week and a huge wadge of cheese.
I'll let you know my verdict on the rice pudding when I try it.

Thanks guys!!
BTD - My shift was not too bad, I did cave and buy a scotch egg but it was on offer for 60p, so I'm not gonna beat myself up over that - when it got to packing myself some food I realised we were all out of sandwich stuff! It's hard work when it's half ten at night and all the drunk teenagers are coming in buying sandwiches and chocolate!!
C - Thankyou sweetie, we are very similar me and you. xx
Poo - Yes it's from Mike's thread - reading that is definately like watching an episode of eastenders!! I've never thought of using toilet roll instead of kitchen roll - I'll have to give that a go, and I think I'll get some tins of spagghetti for the kids. I can't believe your food bill is only 8.00 - that's ace! We were managing on 40.00 per week but I've just recently put the budget UP to 60.00 because although we were eating cheaply, we weren't eating very healthily!!!
So far, not having a brilliant day today - most of the bread and butter pudding got thrown in the bin which really annoyed me and the lady from freecycle didn't turn up yesterday even though hubbie waited in all day!! Going to in laws this afternoon and they have a way of making me feel a bit like I'm not got enough, hopefully all will be fine but think I'm just being a bit sensitive!! On the bright side - there feeding us!! :rotfl:
Speak to you all later, and I do feel better for coming online today!

Hi, Just said goodbye to my lovely mom, sister &co. The kids all bickered all day - over tired and over-spoilt
! The food was lovely - but expensive, but they are worth every penny! I am a Smart Price fan, but splash out for special occasions.
Tried to just have a drink and not care about the kids but they won and ground us down. Looking forward to chillin' out tomorrow! (kids permitting;))Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
Just had exactly the same day!! Been to the MIL's for the day and started off as all relaxed and fun but after a few hours the kids are getting hyper, I'm getting stressed, hubbies asleep, MIL's telling me what the kids can and can't eat!!!!
Never mind, home now - hubbie putting littlun to bed to make up for falling asleep and leaving me to fend for myself!!!
Hopefully we'll all feel better in the morning.
blue-bells, thanks for reading. xxx

Had a bit of a rubbish evening and raided the loose change jar to send hubbie to the garage for munchies!!!
Got up early this morning and gonna get myself sorted today. I am aware that I'm worse if my routine goes out the window, or if I don't get enough or too much sleep so they are my main aims really.
I will try to keep myself in my routine even though I'm not working at the moment and I'm aiming for seven hours sleep a night.
Wish me luck.

Morning, I'm trying to be nice and let dh have a lie in cos he's working the rest of the week and has to be out by 6.30. However, 2 year old is already drving me mad (der:)) I don't know where she gets her energy from! She's also going through quite a clingy stage, which is lovely, but when I'm having a not so good day, I struggle to cope and this is made worse by her hanging on to my leg.
On the bright side, she got 5 Easter eggs and she doesn't really like chocolate - what a shame:)

A great way of keeping the "visitors" at bay is tea-tree oil....they hate it.
Mix 10 drops of tea tree oil a few drops of eucalyptus oil and 200ml of veg oil together and comb through everyones hair....leave for a couple of hours and then comb out (all the eggs will come away too)....wash hair well (a bit of washing up liquid strips the oil out well and is fine for one wash). Then make sure you add tea tree oil to all the shampoos in the house so that they get a coating with every wash.
Saves all the nasty chemicals and a small bottle goes a long way."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Sounds fantastic, I'll give it a go tomorrow - it was absolutely heartbreaking combing 3 year olds hair tonight, she screams her little heart out. Bless her.Light Bulb Moment 29/03/10!!Starting Fresh to get my house and finances sorted! 02/02/120
