  • OK, so if anyones interested I'll tell you where I'm at now.

    We are still a family of 5, I'm 33, Hubbies 34 and kids are DD14, DS13 and DD6.

We have moved into a beautiful, big house that used to belong to my nan who passed away last year, we are paying quite a bit of rent but good value for what we have and the size of the house. We rent from my mum who now own's the house.

DH is working full time as a team leader in an IT Warehouse, he's on about 13500 per year. I am not working at all and am Home Educating all my kids!!

DD14 has 6 hamsters, DD6 has a fish and we have a family dog who is adorable but has so many allergies and problems that we may aswell move him into the vets!!

I am still wombling, looking for deals and trying to get the best for my money.

I hope this will be the kick in the behind I need to realise that I'm doing ok and I just need to stick at it.

  • We're beginning yet another chapter in our lives ... and this time it's going to have to take the whole family working hard to make it work.

My husband has left his job and will be at home with me Home Educating the kids.

As you probably know, I have Bipolar, Aspergers and ADD, my 14 year old son is Autistic and my 15 year old daughter is currently being assessed for some kind of Psychotic break.

I need my son here, I need his help.

However, financially, it's going to be bloody hard!

We are planning to cut down as much as we possible can and spend as much time as a family, living as self suffiently as possible.

    Sounds great doesn't it?

It would be if I actually believed it could happen - this all starts on April 7th - so 3 weeks tomorrow!

We're gonna have a sit down this evening and talk about what changes we can make to help get the debts paid and get our lives back on track!

    Wish me luck!

  • Good Luck cloud, sounds like you have it planned out well.
I have an adult son with Aspergers, who is having mental health issues at the moments, so I sort of understand some of what you are giving through.
Thinking of you, check back in soon to let us know how the new life style is going

  • So far so good, we're just about managing to get by but our quality of life has vastly improved.

Currently trying to work out ways of making a little bit of extra cash - we have enough to get by but was thinking of trying to seel some bits to make a bit of extra cash.
