  • I've just posted a reply on someone elses thread and when I re read it I realised I am very good at doling out advice and not so good at taking it myself, so I thought I'd post it on here so I can remember what I should be doing lol,

    Hi dark angel,

I've just read through your diary and it really struck a chord with me, I too have Bipolar although I don't have a gambling addiction, but i think I do have a spending addiction!! lol.

I understand how you feel in a lot of the things you write, as in full of energy and enthusiasm and bursting with ideas one minute and then can't even get out of bed the next!

The one peice of advice I can give you in general, butespecially as someone with Bipolar - is to be generous with your budget, when you're high you think you can survive on £50 a month, and live from your allotment and bake your own bread all the time! (I'm talking about me here!) When you're low though, it all goes out the window and it's the best you can do to pick up the phone and call a takeaway. This is Ok, as long as you and your DD are fed, watered and alive - a couple of days slumming it isn't gonna do anyone any harm - and we can do ourselves a lot more harm than good when we feel guilty and try to fix things, sometimes it's just better to jump in and start afresh rather than try and catch up again.

Please keep posting and this person thats helping you sounds amazing, sounds like just what I need. I've been following a website called flylady. It's american and a bit happy clappy but the actual system really appeals to my nature and I think it may help you too.

Good luck, sorry for going on and keep posting.

I've started following the flylady weekly thread on this site but decided to post my to do list on my thread instaed of there so I can keep an eye on it better, and cross out stuff as I'm going along.

Thought it would be easier to update and keep track of what I'm doing too!

I didn't get anything done yesterday so I'm starting a fresh today but hoping to get some of today and yesterdays jobs done too!

Here's what I have to get done!

Well it's now 9pm and that's it for tonight!! I've not done as well as I'd have liked but I've done a lot better than I thought I was going to earlier today! I've decided If I don't get everything done I'm only going to add the level 1 jobs to the rest of the week if that makes sense!!

I'ce baked some lovely cakes and kitchen and dining room looks better than it has done in ages - also haven't been out at all so apart from ingredients for dinner which ds fetched for me - it's been a NSD!!

  • I've woken up this morning with a really bad back so don't think I'll be getting too much done, just trying to potter around as best I can - taking lots of breaks - I have a doctors appointment at 9:15, not that they'll be able to do anything but for some reason I'll feel better when I know it's not serious!! lol

I'm working this afternoon so that'll be an extra £40 and I think he wants me to do a few extra shifts next week.

Hi, How are you feeling? Might help if you read back over your diary and realise how far you have come. You're amazing!!

I have just done just that! A bit later than originally intended but I have read through my entire thread and it has reminded me how far I've come and the little things I used to do which i'm not doing anymore.

Unfortunately, I deleted the signature which had my total debts on so I will never know how much lower my debts are than they were, but I will try and tot them up over the next few days and see where I am.

    Hi Cuckoo :)

Well done for resurrecting your diary. I'm here to give you a kick up the bum whenever you need it .

    I'm off to subscribe.

  • Thanks pwps, long time no speak - and thanks emzilla.

Not feeling too great today, but I got off to a bad start and was late getting littlun to school. My phone has been restricted so I can't phone council and tax credits which were on my list of calls - I've phoned BT and they're putting it back on "within the next 48 hours!" great!

I just feel like my plan for the day has gone wrong and I can't get over the hump and carry on with what I should be doing afterwards - I just keep checking the phone line!! lol

    Back later,
