:)After spending 3 hours in A & E with my daughter :mad::mad: who fell down the stairs and injured her foot, the children twisted my arm into taking them to McDonalds for something to eat (didn't buy at the hospital way too expensive ) and I even manged to get them to have happy meals, so whilst it wasn't a NSD, it was alot cheaper than it usually is.
Daughter has soft tissue damange and will be ok in a week or two :j
Fingers crossed for a better day today.***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0 -

Just a quickie - popped on to update sig with grocery spend and to report another NSD yesterday - that's 4!
Spend day today tho - small groceries and diesel plus I had to replace my power cable for laptop, somehow between last night and this morning my old one gave up the ghost - cant do without my daily "fix "
Will pop back later, off to chemist and library now!
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -
Declaring today as an NSD...that makes 4 to date. Early I know, but it will stop me from being tempted IYSWIM!!
Tomorrow may have to be a LSD, have a parcel to post to BIL in Scotland. I was going to be gving it to lil' sis (she is heading up there next week) on Easter Sunday at the rugby...but that wasn't to be.....so really have to get my finger out and post it instead.
DH is taking DS2 down for the last match tomorrow...and there could well be some spending done, so I am saving other spends for tomorrow.
DS2 has been invited to a Scottish Exiles weekend this weekend as he has missed out on playing for Scotland this week due to illness (only a 24 hour thing). Another local lad is going up too...so they are taking DS2 up to Leeds on Saturday morning. This saves one of us taking him up, staying overnight and paying for various meals..Result!!. DH will go up and watch the match against Yorkshire on Sunday though, and then bring him home...he hasn't seen him play for ages!
Right, off to sort out my seeds and get some sowing done...then some sewing (cross-stitch!), before going to work from 4 to 8 tonight, my first evening session fo absoulute ages.
Thanks for the mention Spoon, work was fine yesterday, despite the new banking system not working. It went "live" on Tuesday...and there was no-one about yesterday to help with all the (inevitable!) problems . You would have thought that at least someone would have been about!Oh well....we'll see what this evening brings!
Have a great day everyone...wonderful sunshine again today!

**WARNING! WARNING! This is a Heavy Tomb Early Warning. Read at Your Peril!**Following Solvent's example:-
Karma, Mookie, LfV & Sarah; each & every one of us have spells of chauvinistic confidence where we think this Challenge is a push-over, only to have it turn around & bite us on the bahoonaIt doesn't matter if you've been doing this a month or a millennia, it still happens so pleeeeeeezzeee do not give up. The biggest thing for me, has been to identify how I used to spend.
I often take me muvva out for a break. Where we would go somewhere most days & I inevitably had to pop in for "a pint of milk" even if I hadn't parted with a cent anywhere else, we all know how much that pinta can cost once inside a sneaky supermarket even tho I had a freezer full of dinners at home  These days, we are selective with our outings, appreciate them more, & saving money by only buying what we truly need or desire.
Also NOW, those Major Spend Days show up like an emergency beacon where once they would have flickered like a candle in a hurricane. That doesn't make them wrong--just emphasises where the money goes, for me anyway.
Jinty, PDD, Curly & anyone else on our Nyte Ooot; ooh I'd lurv to meet my little tuppence again! Hope he's on duty but finishes his shift early--*goes to find the words to Auld Lang Syne* Can I put in my order now before I forget, for.. deep fried curly-wurly, 1/2 pint creem da monff shandy top & not feather pillows please--they make me sneezeYour [STRIKE]out[/STRIKE]in-laws will be :silenced: with hubbs won't they _pale_ cuz the garage is STILL whispering about Solvent's little "indiscretion" :shhh:
And I also wondered if your lad & his rugby mates would fancy joining forces Keiss; we'd look after them as if they were our own--Scout's Honour-thought it would cut down the petrol & taxis for us all, if we could share the mini-bus..
Anonymoose & BDINI?; at those blasted vending machines! Invention of the Cash& should be in a fifty mile exclusion zone from any fully-enrolled mser
Hoog LUCK with resisting temptation today x
Kate, can I be:happyloveI've not got a wedding that week-end
Baileys & Karen; you really need to share notes :rotfl:My 'little ones' are all in their 20s now but we still play silly beggars at times & have to visit A&E in equal measure :doh:Did chuckle tho at one of the family having a poorly foot & the rest of them twisting your arm
And I've managed another NSD

Today should be another NSD but I'm not confirming til later!
If I manage to go without spending today, I shall have had a NSW - No Spend Week
I don't want to jinx it though....
