Yay, NSD number 3 for me today!!

Have to spend tomorrow as some more ebay stuff to post, but have a cunning plan... am going to take stuff to the post office in my lunch hour (eating my sarnie as i run up the road!!). This will ensure that i only have time to go to the post office & nowhere else to waste money.

    Wish me luck!!

We have had a lovely day today, including an afternoon cuppa and some easter chocolate. We stayed at home, DS (4 years) has had me playing lots games with him, including pretending we are trains in Chuggington and Big Babes (TV prog). DD (1 year) has been practising her climbing skills, and can now use the kitchen step to reach the worktops . With all this fun here I haven't left the house nor spent any money, now upto 5 NSD's

    Hi everyone
Lots of posts and updates again today - great to see so much activity on this thread and so many NSDs being reported in - let’s try to keep it going this month.

Well done to the following for new NSDs:
jintyb: :jwell done for no 3 and fingers crossed for no 4 today. Great that you’re joining us on 30th- sherry - and we might well need bailing out by the police :o- thanks for the offer:)
missylaney: :jwell done for no 4 - must be the encouragement on here keeping you going... Hope today and tomorrow aren’t too painful spend days:)
wit40iwtwan: :jwell done for no 4. Hmmmmm...... Oxford Street is not really conducive to an NSD:(
teenyweenyspender: :jwell done to you as well - no 4 already, not surprised your mucho pleased-o!:)
Natty68: :jwooohooo indeed for no 2 - well done. Yep, no money definitely helps...;)
gabriella90: :jwell done, you’re doing brilliantly, no 4 already. And especially well done for taking your birthday money shopping and bringing it all home again - you’re becoming a reformed character.....:A
LadyfromVenice: :jwell done for no 3 - and grrrr to losing your post  - MSE ate one of mine today as well, it’s verrrryy annoying.... :eek:to all the washing and ironing - but love the smiley, that’s brilliant
emilyka: :jwell done for no 2 - yes, bank holidays can knock you off track but well done for staying focused!:)
Still-in-debt: :janother one doing really well at no 4. Well done for being MSE on the cinema tickets - that orange offer is great:)
pure dead dopey: your aliens seem to be affecting the rest of us now, judging by the amount of NSDs rolling in - thanks for sharing them.:A And well done for no 5 :j- you’re doing brilliantly.
Oooh, chippy and deep fried mars bar sounds great before the great pub trawl - we’ll definitely need something to line the stomach:o...
curlygirl: I agree, we have to partake of the local area’s culinary delights - think the deep fried mars bar is a local delicacy!!:) Oh dear, that poor policeman - we’ll probably send him totally over the edge this time..... :jWell done for no 4 as well, you’re doing great!
Nottoobadyet: :jwell done for getting 2 NSDs over the Easter break, especially good as you were away. Look forward to seeing more being reported. Hope you enjoyed the Hadrian’s wall walk.:)
elfen: :jwell done for no 5 - another one doing great. Keep going!
Keiss 21: :jno 3 - yippeeee - and well done! Oooh to your back, hope you managed to have a rest in the garden. Hope the first day back at work wasn’t too bad?:)
Cleosmum: another one for you, :jwell done for no 3. Oh dear to today, it is the school hols after all and kids have to have some treats. Keeping my fingers crossed for you for the rest of the week:)
anonymoose: :jwell done for no 4 and double well done for avoiding the vending machine:)
slowlyfading: I kept my fingers crossed for you all day and it worked :)- well done for no 6:j
rachelmk: fingers crossed for you as well all day and it worked as well - brilliant. :) Well done for no 3 :j (and like the idea of OH “volunteering” to buy you a can of coke)
Everhopeful09: :jwell done for no 3. Hope you enjoy your two evenings out:)
CraigLoans: good to see you reporting in and well done for 2 NSDs.:j Look forward to seeing more being reported:)
butdoineedit?: :jwell done for no 3, you’re really up and running now. Good luck for your cunning plan tomorrow - I’m sure it will work really well:)
sarahb7538: :jwell done for no 3 - nearly a third of the way there now. Fingers crossed for you for the rest of the week:)
saorsie: you’re doing great now also. :jWell done for no 4. Oooh, sewing machine.... very tempting but good for you for talking yourself out if it. :) A bargain is only a bargain if you’re going to use it (says me who has a house stuffed full of bargains I’ve never used:o:o.... but we’ll pass very quickly over that little point!!)
Baileys Babe: another one doing brilliantly, well done for no 5.:j And well done for finding cheap ways to amuse the kids..:)
3Dogs: you’re doing brilliantly as well, no 5 - yay.....:j Although I have to agree, no money is a great incentive;).....

    And hello to everyone else:
mookiepook: oh dear, charity shops are a menace to anyone on an NSD challenge, but you did need the mat, and it was only £1.95 so I think that’s probably justified and, yes, that would be classed as an LSD. Well done for not buying anything else.:)
Dorastar: there are loads of days left in April, so plenty of options available for you. Enjoy your invitations out is my advice:)
skaps: hope you survived the food shopping and it wasn’t too traumatic:eek:..
katenut: well done on all your bargains for the wedding, great that you’ve come in under budget, that’s brilliant!:j I think we’ll let you off for the tube of smarties in view of that!:)

I’ve managed another one today, taking me to no 5 - very pleased with myself. Unfortunately I have a mega-spend day ahead tomorrow:(:(, food shopping, two birthday presents to buy and printer cartridges to get as well ‘cos the ones I use aren’t available at Cartridge World or the cheaper places yet - the printer is too new (that will serve me right for buying a new printer:mad:....)

Off to update the front page now.

Night everyone, look forward to your updates tomorrow

  • 4 NSDs for me so far this month and today will be another one :j Feeling very focused this month and weirdly, very grounded. I had a manic month in March and the holidays were just what we needed to feel a bit more peaceful.

Children have been content to hang about at home or ride their bikes or swim. We had a day out yesterday that was a bit  spends wise but can cope with once in a while.
