Chasing daydreams....

Blimey I feel like I've been awake for a million years!!
I should have a fairly quiet day today - DS's friend is coming over and then tend to stay in his room and play so I think I'm going to have a squizz through the figures and see what I can see.
Also need to do something about the state of my bedroom.....clothes and paperwork everywhere!
I'm also thinking about starting a new diary. This one seems a bit, I dunno, off the mark a bit now......will think about it xxPaddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
Hey true, i like this diary it keeps me focused on chasing the dream and its a nice place, i fancied a new diary but i like my old one and i post in nice colours just to keep me happy lol

Yeah I like the dream chasing thing, it's still about that even with our mad ramblings lol
I really need to pull my socks up and try to get refocussed though - I'm so easily distracted and finding other things to do!
Going to have another bash at my SOA, it never looks quite right, we're always too far in the black lol! Really must start keeping a spending diary again, I did one ages ago when I first started MSE. I've rejoined the NSD challenge just to try to focus me a bit. Since falling off the wagon spending money has become far too easy again - I'm not running anymore debt up which is good I guess, but I've not been debt busting very much either.
Got a busy couple of months ahead, its DS's birthday at the beginning of September and he wants to take some mates bowling which will also be his birthday present because he's going on the school London trip this year which cost £400 so that's his "proper" birthday present. Must remember to pay for that when he goes back to school....
Onwards and upwards eh? xxxPaddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -

Hey Happy
Fortunately I've been paying it in installments for about 8 months, so just got the last £35 to pay when he goes back! You know, I've been really disciplined about paying for that, always on time, always making sure I've got the money when its been due etc etc - I've got two debts which are hovering at about the £400 mark so why can't I focus on paying those off in the same way! Argh!
Ah well, its Monday again, should be payday today but the money isn't there yetso looks like a day of checking my internet banking every 20 minutes!!
Hows work going Happy? You in today? xxxPaddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
Hi, my sky is playing up so computer access is limited hehe iv tidied up done some washing lol. Read some books :-). Yay sound great, re the mini installments. :-) maybe set up on direct debit so it does it or you. Someties the hardest thing is paying the debts because we have already experienced the thrill so no big pot at the end whereas the trip is coming up so incentive to pay because if you don't he can't go. So to overcome that set the little mini debts on direct debit let it go out day free payday so you can't chnage your mind about paying more etc xxI AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. You're so right about paying it straight after payday, we do that with all the "normal" bills so no reason why we can't do it with the debt repayments too! They're all on standing order at the mo so I just need to increase the amounts I pay out. DH rang up about HFC today and the balance is standing at £330 (this one drives me mad because the interest rate is like 24.9% or something stupid) so I really want to pay it off! They allow overpayments so once I've paid for DS's trip then I'll get DH to increase their direct debit so we can hopefully clear that one by Xmas! Then its time to concentrate on Crabby Abbey's two overdrafts!
Really want the debts out of the way because yet another dream house of ours has come on the market (I have the details stuck to the fridge, I want it so bad!) I know its way out of reach at £250k but it would be lovely to at least be able to think about moving! Plus my biological clock is ticking really loudly at the moment.....but I want to be Debt Free and have a bit of a savings safety net before anything progresses in this department!
The daydreams are sneaking back in Happy.....knew they wouldxxx

What do you call daydreams when they (and the necessary schemes to achieve said daydreams) cause insomnia?Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840

Ok, I've just rehashed my SOA and it looks like we have £350 a month surplus. This means we are spending faaaaaaaaaar too much money because we always run out of dosh . So daydream diary will be evolving into spending diary.
If I can pull £300 out of our income, that means HFC can be gone in one month, HSBC overdraft can be gone in the second month and one Abbey overdraft can be gone by the fourth month (ie by Christmas). There are 5 of DH's payday's between now and Christmas so that *should* also mean that we could have a few hundred squids saved up for for Xmas too. Plus I know my hours are going up and I've just had a payrise (I'm on a whole £6.40 an hour now :j) so I should be earning more and therefore our potential to clear at least 3 of the 9 before Xmas and have a pretty good Xmas is actually quite high!
I'm pretty sure I know where our spare cash is going - mostly into the till at Mr T's or the pub. Well, we both need to loose weight so lets wave goodbye to the pub - it's changed hands recently anyway and isn't the same with the new landlords. As for Mr T, well I just need to meal plan (which I hate doingbut needs must). And I need to get DH on board. I know he's fed up at the mo because he needs new tyres for the car (£230 ) plus car needs servicing (£235 ) and then he has the bits he "wants" etc etc.... will think of something to bring him around lol!
Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
Well that was ridiculously easy, DH is on board and even making suggestions! Love it when a plan comes together
! He's even agreed to *shock horror* sell some of his old gear on ebay  I'm amazed, he's always been either "oh that old stick of ram isn't worth anything" or "no one would want that old motherboard" but I think his shed (aka data centre
) is now so full of carp he can't move :rotfl:
Off into town for a bit now, need to find something cheap to amuse DS when I'm back at work and also need to go to the bank and pay in my £50 cashback cheque from my car insurance :j
Happy daysxxx
