As this kind of thing can be very emotionally draining, especially for people who haven't tried it before (or are out of practice), maybe we should have 10 minutes intensive focus on Sandy, and then five minutes to think about the other flyladies who need support (don't worry if you miss someone out - the chances are that between us we'll have everyone covered!).
Something I find useful when working with energy is that when I've finished I visualise pushing the excess energy into the ground. Helps to prevent me having all sorts of problems later on...Black is fine - as I said, do what seems right to you.:o I've never been one for "the ritual has to be done like this and any deviation is wrong."
Me neither - I believe it's the intent, rather than the tools. I tend to grab anything I need from what's around me... I was trying to write a post whilst refereeing two small people (and one big kid!), so I don't think it came out quite as I intended! Sorry....:o Perhaps I'm not just cut out for multitasking! Thanks for sharing your ritual, LameWolf.
I've just decluttered a very tasty Indian takeaway and I'm stuffed.
Evening dailies will be done, then I'm going to sit with my feet up until 9pm.
Take care all
D

Hurrah!
I have filletted the salmon (I'm getting very good at that) but what I'm hurrahing about is that I have just successfully boned my first ever chicken! (I bought a whoopsied one from Mr. T to practise on before attacking the duck, guinea fowl and other chicken tomorrow!).
The wonders of you tube with the marvellous videos on just about how to anything...
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Here we go - this is the one I watched the most because he's quite understandable
Deboning a chicken
A couple of others I'd watched before were useful for pointers on removing the bones from the legs and wings - essentially just sort of cut the bone out from the inside. I did invest in a proper boning knife.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

And at the risk of being really boring:
This one shows you how to remove the leg bones (from about 3 minutes 40 seconds in
Removing leg bones
And this one isn't about boning a chicken whole, but does reinforce the message in the first one about loosening up the chicken first. And I found it quite fun to watch:

Greenbee - please count me in at 9, when I use it at home [when I have a migraine] I have a seething mass of yuck where my headache is and then I have 7 "Brains" from Thunderbirds in my head [2 for eyes, 1 for nose, 1 for mouth, 2 for ears and 1 for head = 7] who come out of a hatch in the top of my head and take it in turns to hack a bit of the gooey mess and get rid of it so thats what I'll be doing tonight for Sandy - very weird I know, but, it works for me!!

right will you all stop making me blub - we have the most caring thread on this WHOLE site. We help each other, comiserate, applaud, celebrate, laugh and cry together - how wonderful is that?
Dusty thanks for that, by the way I'm not in the slightest bit brave, toots, ll and sandy are and everyone one going through an horrendous time are.
I'm in on the visualisation, may not be on line when I do it because the last one was draining and didn't want to talk after really. I've only got tea lights cos of Yankee tarts, but to me anything you focus on hard would work. I use stones throwing on an ugly evil green mass.
LL - you truly are an inspiration in taking time out for others, your an angel xxTo love and be loved is the greatest happiness of existance - Sydney Smith0 -
Carlsberggal - sorry meant to say that I think that you should go away for the weekend too. DS is fine with it and you've had a lot to contend with recently so go with a clear head and have a really lovely time, you and DH deserve it
