Also in for Sandy at 9pm, nothing deep or intelligent to say other than that really. Will keep her and her family in our prayers especially throughout all the services this weekend

such awful news about sandy. I don't think I'll be able to join in the visualization as such but I will be thinking of her and all the flyladies who need it.

Have had a relatively chilled and yet productive day. Picked up some baby stuff from someone from netmums - brilliant bargains :) then popped to friends and had a cuppa and chat and her 3 kids drew me loads of pictures! Also picked up some stuff she had collected for me from someone else form netmums. Then cooked a lovely dinner (spinach and sage stuffed chicken with parma ham, with spring onion mash and veg :)). Surprisingly easy!

I'm going to copy down some of the lovely things you've all said for sandy, and send a series of texts just before 9pm.

As several people have said, this is something to do in your own way, however you feel comfortable, whether you want to do visualisation, meditation, prayer, or simply sit quietly and think healing and comforting thoughts. There is no right way - its simply a way of all being together and concentrating the focus on the person concerned. And as far as timing goes, take whatever time you can spare, for however long you feel comfortable. Some people may only feel able to keep focussed for a few minutes, others who are used to rituals, meditations etc may prefer to keep going for longer. All your contributions are equally valuable.

I'm going to go away and prep myself for Sandy's visualisation.

Then I'll come back afterwards and sort out another thread

Carlsberggal You should stick with your plans as your DS will want to be with his pals if he's anything like my DD due to the fact he knew there wouldn't be lack of beer ! so he made sure he drank enough to keep him going till he got home.

well said greenbee - for some it may be too 'new age' the visualisation process for want of a better word, but the brain is a powerful thing and however you feel best doing it like you said is a wonderful thing to do for anybody. I used to be sceptical but have seen first hand how fantastic positive thought works and makes a person if nothing else feel comforted.

Please pass my love and hugs on to sandy, she is in my thoughts and also DH's after I've told him what is happening. Continued coping vibes/comforting vibes too for her DH, kids and family x

Right logging off now, but will be there at 9, you can bet your bottom dollar on it. Won't post again tonight.

Take care all my lovely flylady friends xx
