I am in the process of trying to support Sandy......hopefully she will open up, understandably she is in shock.......but I am on that road....so will help her all I can.......from personal experience the "visualisations" have been a great source of comfort for me.....it's an overwhelming experience to have so many people thinking about you at the same time......anything that can give her hope is going to be a good thing.
So pleased you've managed to make contact, and remember, we're here for you too. It must be emotionally draining for you, and you only have a limited amount of resource, most of which you need for yourself. Let us know if there is anything we can do for either of you.

21:00 sounds as good a time as any to begin. The way I work these things is thus: light a candle (I always use pink for healing, but use what you feel comfortable with). See the tumour in your mind's eye - we know it's in her brain; just see it as whatever enemy works for you - a troll, goblin, actual tumour-looking thing, whatever - it's the thing you're going to target. Select your mental weapon of choice - attack it with white light (as I've seen mentioned), or with a broadsword, or shoot arrows at it, or blasts of electricity - again, do what works for you mentally. And just go for it.
Once it's started off, you can break off from the fight any time, and rejoin at a later time.

Couldn't have put it better, LameWolf. Will be joining in at 9pm - only have black or white candles, but may just use the black one (banishing negative things).

Greenbee thanks again for keeping us updated. What an awful shock for Sandy - sending her loads of hugs and coping vibes. I hope she has people around her that she can lean on.

Flying-wise, I've only done the sheets today - mine, DDs and DS's. But they've all been washed and dried and they're now folded waiting to be put away...

Will try to catch up tomorrow....

Thanks....I know you are all there for me.....just trying to make Sandy realize that as well.......I know I have limited resources....but it's "paying it forward" I wouldn't have coped without everyone on here, so time for me to give a little to her now. It is a long scary journey & we all need someone to support us xx

Diva will soon pull me into check if I give too much of my energy :D:p

Failing that Jinks & FFP won't be far behind....they all keep an eye on me! :A :A :A

ive been not posting and hiding away because I found a lump and have been worrying and now i read about Sandy and Lady Liberty and feel really selfish! im so sorry that you and whoever else are going through such a hard time. Id really like to do the visualisation thing tonight at 9pm as well, i hope that all our thoughts combined can do something to help.
My thoughts go out to you and your families. And Lady Liberty helping someone else while you are going through it is an extremely kind thing to do, and I know im new on this thread but reading through all these posts has made me feel like I know you all loads :) that probably sounds silly but my head understands it :rotfl:

unfortunately I only seem to be doing mostly level 1 one the tasks but im getting there :o

Count me in for Sandy's visualisation tonight and whilst I'm about it I'm winging some white light and love over to Toots and Lady Liberty too.

Much love and respect to all of you who make this little thread on flying so full of hope, care, love and selfless acts of amazing kindness. xxxx

  • Paying it forward, LL? I bet I'm not the only person here who has had a lovely message from you when waiting for test results to see whether we were OK.

You don't owe anything, I am sure that the good you have done for others is far more than you realise already!

Could I perhaps suggest that after Sandy's special time, we all turn our attention to all the flyladies that need our thoughts? Sort of take the energy we've accumulated and send it to everyone?

It reminds me of the metta bhavana - loving kindness - meditation - which is the way I will be thinking of it tonight.

May you be well, may you be free from fear, may you be free from suffering.

[blushes as never mentioned spiritual stuff in public before]

That's a lovely thought - and one of the good things about the internet - you don't have to hide!

Paying it forward is something that all flyladies seem to be pretty good at, and it's a much nicer way of living than constantly paying back.

As this kind of thing can be very emotionally draining, especially for people who haven't tried it before (or are out of practice), maybe we should have 10 minutes intensive focus on Sandy, and then five minutes to think about the other flyladies who need support (don't worry if you miss someone out - the chances are that between us we'll have everyone covered!).

I've been lazy all day (too much wine and chocolate ice-cream while attempting to get some work done last night), so i'm giong to take advantage of the fact that the sun is out and go out for a walk. Hopefully it will also build up some reserves of positive energy for tonight too.

I have done a load of laundry (now in the TD) and emptied the DW, but the house is a pigsty, by brain is hopeless, my diet and exercise are not going to plan and I'm WAY behind on my work.... so I need to pull myself together...

Me too. I've been struggling to know what to say all day. Nothing I think seems adequate, so if it's alright with Triker, ditto....

Also, Greenbee thanks again for keeping us updated. This must be difficult for you as well......

Good evening everyone. Just got back from a lovely few days away. We have a busy weekend, so I'll not be chasing any stars this week. The house is clean, but a bit messy, so we'll have a blitz tomorrow morning.

I've just had a call from a good friend to tell me that her father died suddenly earlier in the week. It's looking likely that the funeral will be Friday, so I may not be able to make the meet. Please carry on without me, and I'll try and arrange another for soon. I'll PM everyone who was planning coming over the weekend.

I had no intention of paying someone to do what I am more than able to do.

    So, I've fitted it!

The boys are just vacuuming it and bouncing around squeaking.. OH and DD1 have been sent to tesco.. OH is cooking dinner when he gets in.. and I am spending the evening in bed.. other than swapping washing over in the TD and getting the bratties to bed!
