    A healing ritual is a lovely idea.:T:T

We've done group visualisations in the past for toots & Lady-L. Just very simple ones where we visualise white light focussed on them, and in toots case she described the size, shape and location of her tumour for us to work on! However, it would be great if you could suggest something we could do as a group exercise to provide help and support (I only really know about visualisation from a pain management and sports psychology perspective...) as it sounds like you really understand how this works.

I won't be on again today but I'll light a candle for Sandy at 9pm (seem to remember that was the time we used to do the visulisations) xx
21:00 sounds as good a time as any to begin. The way I work these things is thus: light a candle (I always use pink for healing, but use what you feel comfortable with). See the tumour in your mind's eye - we know it's in her brain; just see it as whatever enemy works for you - a troll, goblin, actual tumour-looking thing, whatever - it's the thing you're going to target. Select your mental weapon of choice - attack it with white light (as I've seen mentioned), or with a broadsword, or shoot arrows at it, or blasts of electricity - again, do what works for you mentally. And just go for it.
Once it's started off, you can break off from the fight any time, and rejoin at a later time.

As I say, that's just how I do it - I'm an inveterate PC gamer, so RPG analogy works for me (that's Role Playing Games, for the uninitiated).

Imho the important thing is that all that Flylady healing energy and positive vibes will be heading for Sandy.
AJ - have a fab time away. And yes I forgot to say he's going for 6 months, he already knows his R and R will begin 3 August. At the end of the day they only have to give you 48 hours notice once deployment training has been done, though they do normally give longer as you know. He's had 5 differing dates now so at least this time they won't be altering it.

DH and I are going to Helmsley on the North York moors for the weekend, can't wait. But DD2 has put a dampener on it as she says I'm being selfish going as it's DS's last weekend home, but I saw him yesterday, will see him today and Monday and Tuesday morning before he goes back. He is not concerned in the slightest as in his words he will be 'on the p$ss' with his mates every evening as well as Saturday afternoon and probably sunday afternoon as well! He's making the most of it because he can't drink for six months whilst he's there. Her dad is going away with his girlfriend for the weekend as well, wonder if she's said the same thing to him, probably knowing her! Do you think I'm being selfish? This has been booked weeks after discussing dates with DS
No, you're not being selfish at all. In fact I'd think that if you changed this long-standing arrangement, he'd feel embarrassed and guilty, because you've been looking forward to it, and I'm guessing he's not the kind of chap to want you to forgo it. Just my twopenn'orth.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Gosh, she must be so scared. I don't quite know what to say but I'm thinking about her.
I have to say it's testing my creativity thinking of responses to send back, but she obviously needs us. Possibly easier than sharing how she feels with people she knows.

That's a fantastic description - I'll let Sandy know that at 9pm regardless of whether she is awake or asleep, there will be lots of healing and supportive energy heading her way. If you want your name on the list, let me know... (I dread to think what anyone looking at her texts must think...)

sandy has just woken up and has lost the use of her right side again. At the moment she doesn't want any visitors because she doesn't want anyone to see her having seizures, but she may change her mind, in which case I'll let you know. It won't necessarily be easy or pleasant though, as she's obviously in a very bad way both physically and emotionally.

Greenbee - Can appreciate how difficult it must be for you to be our liaison but I'm grateful that she has got you doing that for her. I would be prepared to visit if she wanted that and you could PM any details.

What awful news for Sandy and her family. I'll join in at 9pm tonight.

Carlsb - you're not being selfish at all my love - enjoy your weekend.

Well, some good news. I finally have heat and hot water again :j

I have also planned the menu and done the shopping for Saturday. I now have two extra guests. One of my brothers and his wife are coming too - I thought they were off skiing, but it seems only lil bro is...

The menu, if anyone is interested goes like this:

Smoked salmon and quails eggs with baby plum tomatoes to start (probably on blini if I get my act together and make some, otherwise on small pieces of melba toast)
    ~
Three bird roast (duck, chicken and guinea fowl) with all the trimmings including home made stuffing
    ~
    Home made profiteroles
    ~
A selection of cheeses with biscuits.

Right off to fillet and portion up the whole salmon I just bought whilst I was in Mr. T's as it was half price..

I am in the process of trying to support Sandy......hopefully she will open up, understandably she is in shock.......but I am on that road....so will help her all I can.......from personal experience the "visualisations" have been a great source of comfort for me.....it's an overwhelming experience to have so many people thinking about you at the same time......anything that can give her hope is going to be a good thing.

Sorry, haven't read much else....love to carlsberg I see you need some hugs & a huge thanks again to FFP love ya honey xx

Back from the food shop - must think about dinner next and the cats have got usd to the clock change so are asking for food at the right time now.

The nurse who got Sandy such a quick referral was very good at her job and I hope in the weeks ahead can have given Sandy hope and time.

Lady Liberty - love to you sweetheart please only give what you can, we need you strong too

Soappie - I'm glad the heat is on

Carlsberg, I think you have made the right decision, giving your DS freedom to be with his mates for a couple of days and seeing him before he goes. You are being very brave x
