At last!! Have managed to change the bed clothes as neither cat was napping on there, I don't like to disturb them, silly I know,
and I finally got round to doing my banking (for Rainbows) and it is (almost) completed as far as possible for today, just need to get some cheques signed and then go in and pay some money in too
so a pretty productive afternoon
xxxGo hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0 -
Miss A - well done on making the lasagne - hope you're having a lovely time with Aunty Toots - well, actually, there's no need to hope about it. I'm sure you are! Give Toots a big squishy hug from me and a clip round the ear for Master W
(and your Mum if she's misbehaving - otherwise a hug for her
)

Having a quiet day.....it's a year ago my Brother died.....he lost his battle with cancer.....I'm trying to remember the happy times.....but still makes me think about my situation.
Huge hugs L-L xxx must be a sad reminder and of course it'll make you think about your situation. But, you're here, we all love you and that's what matters xxxPenelope_Penguin wrote: »Soappie - linking the sound of the 3-bird roast :T What time are you expecting us for dinner - DS and I have made a pineapple and cream sponge cake, so we can bring that to share
The three bird roast is just about completely demolished I'm afraid and, ~drum roll~ it was a HUUGGGGEEE success. Really tasty, juicy and just perfect. I surpassed myself!
I didn't tell them what it was and just unveiled it at the table. They said oh, duck how nice. I said duck and?....... it took them a while to twig. They were properly surprised, impressed and enthuisiastic.
So much so, my brother has put in an order for next Christmas. As he left he said "what about double the cost of the ingredients...." I think I may have to point out the 1.5 hours boning the birds and another half hour making the stuffing and counter quote (on the higher side!):rotfl:
But it was gorgeous. Probably my best ever dinner centre piece. I have the photographic evidence and will post tomorrow. But I'm dead chuffed with myself
Off now to sort out the car crash that is the kitchen. We ended up sitting at the table in there from 2pm until 7pm with food being passed around etc so it needs some serious work. I may have to deposit the vast quantity of empty wine bottles in the recycling bin under cover of darknessI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

hex - have you thought about supplementing your two with ex-battery hens? I know my aunt always has a few along with her bantams. They don't last long, but they are usually very productive and appreciate the change in lifestyle...should i just sit and chill or go do IRONING or EMPTY the WASHING MACHINE and REFILL or STRIP both beds
Sent DDs to bed at 6.15 so could watch DR Who in peace!!! Was a bit disney at the start, but warmed up and I hate what they've done to the music.
Church tomorrow, followed by lunch out and painting...Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

and knowing that a few more bits were done for tomorrow. I wouldn't even contemplate the ironing...:o
Mind you, I've had supper and now don't seem to be able to settle to anything. I might have to resort to reading trash...0 -
I'd empty & refill the machine, and strip the beds, THEN sit down and do nothing while feeling virtuous
