    Hi all

just added 3 more great recipes to the front page index :T

Moniker's Petits Pots au Citron (Little pots of lemon)

    wssla00's oven'-baked risotto

    lel3636's Roast Potato Rosti

I've had to squish the Recipe list up for this month as I've run out of space in Part 1. I've moved the Bread recipes to the top of the Recipe List part 2. I've also temporarily taken out the link to theComplete Cooking Collection. Sorry if there's any confusion!

Next month I'll split the list into 3 posts if that's ok with Pink.

Welcome to all the newbies and Good Luck to everyone for the last stretch of this month's challenge :)
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

Cookiemum - can I suggest 'upside down sheep' for your son and the one sausage? Cook your sausage, cut it in half lengthways, and then cut those bits in half again to make four short 'legs'. Mountain of mash for the sheeps body and head, sausage legs, and then green veg for grass. My pair like muddy sheep (gravy!) and don't realise they only get one sausage.

I am over again . Not beating myself up and I do now subscribe to the 'just don't go shopping' theory. I spent over £100 with the internet butcher to get free P&P of which maybe £30 has been used so far, chickens were on offer in the co-op again so we have a good ten or so in the freezer. I need to re-do the freezer list and then a vague meal plan for May.

The A&C box has been a success over all - the large basic organic box is enough for 4 as long as I buy a sack of potatoes. Trouble is now DH is moaning that the mushrooms from the co-op just aren't as nice so I may have to tweak the budget to keep the box on which was never the plan :p. At least the £50 credit will cover the next four.

    Afternoon all!

I am going to declare this month a little early on the basis that I have spent all my budget! We have enough milk and bread and F&V to last until the weekend, so I won't need to spend anything, anyway.....

Declaring at £474.52 against my budget!! Can I please have a budget of £450 for May - it's DS3's 1st birthday and my mum's 60th and there's a week of half term.......

Thanks Mrs M, rosieben and pink :D

Yesterday turned out to be a NSD - had planned to go to S**nsb*ry, but couldn't be fagged in the end! The milk ran out this morning, so after DH went off to his day centre I popped over to DD4 for a quick coffee and natter, then did the Mr S shop.

I think I said yesterday - I had a voucher for a FREE litre of Just Milk. This turns out to be UHT, but I picked up the skimmed version, which tastes fine in the tea I'm drinking right now, and even if it hadn't ....well, it was free!

I also bought 6 apples, 4 bananas, and a reduced tin of chopped tomatoes, and total spend was £1.41!

I will be away from tomorrow, so will sort out my totals when I come back, and set up May's target.

Keep up the good work everyone!

This month I have overspent by £30 . Next month is going to be difficult as it is our Wedding Anniversary, plus two birthdays! Off to put my thinking cap on.

Could anyone please tell me how you are able to put your running totals at the bottom of your post?
    January spend = £100
    Spent =

    Hi Zend,

Go up to the top of your page and click on User CP (or click on user tools in the picture icons),then on the left hand side of the new screen you can click on 'edit signature', write in what you want to show and then save.

    Evening everyone,

just updated my siggy. I now have the grand total of £1.22 to last until Friday :D I may just scrape through but i need some milk and a bag of flour but i`m holding out as long as possible.

I`ve watered down the milk a bit to make it stretch, can`t drink much tea anyhow as there are only a few teabags left :D

I`ll do it if it kills me lol

Good luck everyone - the finish line is looming :D
