Ah it's been such a busy month, i'm shattered and i'm only back to work a week after 2 weeks hols! I feel like i've never even been on holiday.

I've spent £206.32 so far and i've got another shop still to do. My local tesco has been refurbished and they sent 3 x £10 off a £30 spend vouchers :T which is brill and i've had no problem spending them :D I've still got a lot of stewing meat in the freezer but as the weather is getting better we havent really wanted stews/casseroles etc so have been buying salady type foods and lighter meals. The meat will need using up tho so will have to think of something to make with it.

Paella for tea tonight with prawns and chorizo, it's our favourite meal :j

Went to Mr T's yesterday and spent around £16 (my reciept blew out my shopping bag :( ). I made the mistake of going without a shopping list so I don't seem to have come out with anything I can make a proper meal from. Also got a takeaway on friday night, and I don't usually include takeaways, but as I got it out of pure laziness I'm going to include it this time.

We have that problem too...I plan on making up some stew later this week, then making lots of pasties with whatever we don't eat "straight". DS2 won't eat stew at all, but hoping to convert him to the odd pastie though! They are great for a quick meal, lunch or when you are flying about the place...not forgettng those summer picnics!

Managing a full NSD weekend, but will have to head for a biggish shop tomorrow. We have run out of OJ two weeks early ! Thats' the problem of having both DSs home for Easter hols!! DS2 is back to school tomorrow, and DS1 heads back to Uni next weekend...the food consumption should dramtically reduce this month!! :D

Having a BBQ tonight...summer is coming!

Off to make more buns and hobnobs before heading out into the garden again.

Enjoy the rest of today everyone.

MrM appears to do smaller 'packets' of grapes. In the two outlets I've been in, they are hanging on the metal cages with the bananas. Me muvva likes to get them, being she lives alone & is not supposed to eat too many in one go with her having diabetes :o

Hi all, I'm not doing brilliantly this month. I went away for the weekend last week and came back to find my freezer had been accidently been switched off and everything in the fridge and freezer was ruined. Needless to say it was packed full from my bargain buying in March ready for an attempt at a really good month in April :(. Anyway, I had a spend of £81.70 from Mr T online & spent £4 on pastys on the beach on Friday plus about £2.58 on bread and milk on Friday, plus £8.85 in Mr A whilst away last weekend. I hope everyone else's month is going better.
Back on the money saving wagon again!

    Afternoon

Kornishkat - Oh no how maddening - one of the things we all dread! Hope you manage to salvage your month.

I've spent £9.03 today including the 3 for 2 offer on frozen stuff at T*sco (chicken nuggets and chips :o) and bogof frubes (waste of money really - they don't last a minute!)

I'm up to 76% of my budget and have £8.42 a day left - usually my average drops by about 50p a day as it dwindles to nothing but it's been the same for about 5 days. And I came home from the shop today without 3 of the things on my list because I really didn't need them - if I can keep this up I might make it this month!

Hope everybody is having a good weekend.
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.
