In case any of you missed my question on the March challenge here it is again!

"I have a quick question: just before Christmas I bought a pack of 50 frozen mini sausage rolls which I cooked ready to use at a party after DD2's wedding. However, fewer people turned up than anticipated and so I put the cooked sausage rolls back in the freezer. They have been there ever since. How much longer will they be ok? We have a party for my DH's 60th birthday at the end of July - can I defrost them to use then or will I poison my guests? It's just that I hate to waste anything and don't want to feel that I have to throw them away - though I will of course if there's any danger to health!

    Any advice welcome!"

    Thanks

    Moniker

I had my first spend from my April budget today, £3.24. I treated myself to a whoopise trifle as it's payday and I had a bad day at work, but I also got milk and a cake to take into work (I'm giving a meeting on friday and want to sweeten my audience up!). I'm now determined to have grocery no spend days for the rest of the week :)

Pink, Mrs M & Rosieben :T Thanks for keeping the thread running :A

    Mrs M - £320 for April please :)

This should be doable as it's a 4 week month. I came in under for March so I'll think about reducing the spend in May if I come in under this month too. Good luck everyone :D

£5.77 spent in Mr S this afternoon on fizzy water, 4L milk, bread, cornish pasty, tissues and a whoopsied pasty and whoopsied turkey slices for DH lunches still in date until Saturday. I seem to be doing much better on the whoopsies lately, not huge savings, 50% off today, but things we will eat and sandwhich meat with 2-3 days left on it.

Moniker - I would eat the sausage rolls too but as a veggie my advice might not be right:o
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75

We will try and manage with £400 for April.

It is higher than last month, but we have visitors for Easter weekend.

  • Can I join please? I've been lurking around for a couple of months and think it's about time I sorted myself out! I've read most of March's posts and feel really inspired.

Please put me down for £140 for April. That's for me, OH & two greedy cats.

Strange as this might be I'm really rather excited:rotfl:
