I went out today to Home Bargains and spent £17.50 but with that got kitchen towel, loo roll washing powder and toiletries for the month. That leaves me with £170 ish left to just buy butter eggs and the like so I should be ok. I need cat litter though. Does anyone know of anywhere I can order Catsan in bulk?Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790

49 last night in Mr S but thats all the wine, soft drinks and dry goods done for the month so should only need to top up with fresh veg, fruit and milk now.0 -
Not too bad - spent £5.99 at Mr S. Includes chicken (discounted), potatos, milk and yoghurt. I'm trying the basic yoghurt as use it mostly in cooking so hoping won't be much of a difference.MFW 91 op 2014 £410/1000

I use a mix of washables and disposables (loved the Asda size 1 for £1 deal) and my total includes all toiletries, cleaning stuff and nappies. It's an incentive to get me to use less disposibles - I have a 2 year old who refuses to potty train too!!!
Mine was born 2.2.10 - a girl - how about yours?
I've been considering trying some washables but I'm just not brave enough yet! We move soon so I may try then, they just look so bulky though! (Have been offered some free ones though!) Nappies are really making a dent in my budget though and little madam was too big for the Asda £1 ones! Also still have DS2 in nappies which I'm not going to try to get him out of until we move, potty training was going well until baby lol, he could easily have been done months ago but then he totally lost interest.

£40.87 spent in total today for our 'big shop' of the month, in a morning spent visiting Morrisons, Lidl & Netto. (We're lucky living in a town with all 3 so close, the last place I lived only had Waitrose or Somerfield to choose from!)
Bargain of the day was 18 Cushelle toilet rolls from Morrisons for £3.50 with a coupon :j (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2374967)Mortgage: [STRIKE]08/13 £28,896.49[/STRIKE] 01/18 £00 -
Oh dear, only day 2 of my month & 36% of my budget gone already! The freezer is now choc-a-block & so are the cupboards really. Did forget to get bread today though so will need that soon. We have all this food but we are getting a takeaway tomorrow when friends come to stay!
Have also bought quite a few Cds from Mr T's and a few clothes & although I have not included them in the grocery spends, I'm not quite sure where the money for them will actually come from as I don't actually "have" any other budgets!Grocery aim £450pm.Spent £519 August, £584 July, £544 June, £541 May, £549 April, £517 March, £517 Feb,£555 Jan, £573 Dec, £465Nov, £561Oct, £493Sept, £426Aug,£496 Jul, £528Jun, £506May,£498April, £558 March, £500Feb, £500 Jan, £490 Dec, £555 Nov,£566 Oct, £505Sept, £450Aug, £410 July, £437 June, £491 May, £471 April, £440 March, £552Feb, £462Jan0 -
Hello,
Mind if I join in again MrsM?
Can I be put down for £100 for this month (1st -30th)?
I even took out the money yesterday and put it in marked envelopes so, no more going 'just a little' over by using my card!
There are only two of us with massively full cupboards of tins, pasta and pulses and a reasonably full freezer so I don't see why £100 can't be enough. Although I'm sure the housemate will find a way of chomping his way through everything in the house over the Bank Holiday, scuppering my plans!"We always find something, hey Didi, to give us the impression we exist?" Hi,
have been lurking for about 6 weeks now and would like to join in as seem to be spending an awful lot of money compared to others.
Can I set a target for £300 for April that is for all food, toiletries and dog food. There are usually- although not always- 3 adults with one having a HUGE appetite.
Off to plan a weeks menu and do a shopping list now as I am sure if I stick to it when shopping then I wont spend so much. Normally spend £100 per week on food (have kept receipts last month to check) so £300 will enable me to save quite a bit if I can manage it - oh well we will see by 28th april as my month runs from first Wednesday to last Wednesday of each month.
Good luck everybody I know I will need it.MARCH £62.38/2500
