Good Morning Snowy, Amanda, Ice, Catowen, Twink, Chipps and all who follow :hello: :grouphug:
Happy Birthday Tootles - have a good one!
As I type, there a re only 3 posts - need to hurry, before I'm on page 2! Just been reading yesterday's night owl thread. Do some of you get no sleep! :rotfl:
Shez and Churchmouse, all that talk of baking makes me very hungry. Shez, HM soda bread is well worth the effort. Was your oven temp accurate - that's my diagnosis, for what it's worth.
I made my first batch of Welshcakes yesterday (hearts for DD and her sleepover friends) - all gone! There was no sugar in my recipe, is that right? They were a bit plain, so I spread them warm with butter, then a little sprinkling of sugar.
Kaz, your jam tarts sound delish! I can feel the calories piling on, just reading about this!
Will be making quiches next week, to use up our eggs.
Nelski, love your beer cellar. Do you have a separate one for your fine wines and champagne?
PPrincess - the Sundae looks fab! Enjoy. We were planning to go to the Northern Green Gathering, but it's over the Pennines, and while I have no probs with Lancashire, it's a long way for us! That's my story, and I'm sticking to it........... :shhh:
Snowy Owl, that's terrible about the arson attacks. News in England really doesn't reflect your experiences.
Have a great day, all.

My fault i know, but i felt so tired last night i couldnt go through with it.
Def have to carry it through tonight as it does seem to be working!!
Kids aunt is maybe taking the kids to cinema today, so i might get some peace today!:rotfl:0 -

The news does not look good does it? I am so worried for my neighbour, her DH is a steward for BA and he's away at the moment. What is the world coming too?
We're off out to a working farm today so have a good day all.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning everyone!
I'm up and about early this morning, unusually for me. I had a curry last night and I woke up early for some reason, maybe the food yesterday!
So far this morning I have put on a load of laundry and sorted two others, put out my rubbish and gone through the papers for my recycling collection this morning, written a letter, entered a newspaper competition and put three used ink cartridges in a recycling envelope for the Dogs Trust. I'm just about to walk down to the post box to post them before the first collection. I will then start on the ironing pile
I am packing today for our holidays. I hate packing, almost to phobia proportions. OH is returning today and I am so excited to see him. I miss him when he is away. I'm looking forward to a week with him next week.
I'll see if I can plant up my tubs with Winter Pansies later as well if I get time. I don't know what the weather will do today, it seems to be hovering between sunshine and dark clouds, so I think the washing will be dried inside today or else I can see myself running in and out with the washing basket and peg bag all day!
Must go, my sink needs shining and my letters need posting.
Have a good day all and
:bdaycake: Happy Birthday Tootles!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOOTLES! :bdaycake:
Well I'm still waiting for the plumber! Hopefully he will be here today and some more work will be done on the bathroom. Once he is here I can go post the 2 books I have just sold on Amazon :j (must list some more!).
Today I must do an inventory of the larder and freezer and menu plan. Also have some coupons to use up so will combine the trip to the post office with a visit to Asda.
Breakfast - Toast and lime marmalade, strong coffee
Lunch - Salad Sarnies
Dinner - Spicy chicken, steamed runner beans and courgettes (from veg box)
(still food combining!)
I agree the news doesn't look good but the threat was probably there for a while, makes you think though as it was only a few months ago we were travelling to florida. Makes me feel happier that they are doing something about it.
Must get more :coffee: before I get on with the day!
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Morning everyone (again!)
Just a quick one...Catznine, can you send your plumber to me when you've done with him? My electric shower has packed up. Went to get into it this morning, and the water was stone cold. Ugh! I'm not brave enough to get in anyway, so had a flannel wash...but had to abandon my hair as there's no hot water. What a great start to the day. Not!
Gotta go to that horrible [STRIKE]orifice[/STRIKE] office place now. Bye!

Its really cold and windy out there which is such a shame (what the heck happened to summer:mad:

Is it just me, or have all the avatars disappeared? I'm rubbish with names and rely on my visual memory to tell me who's who. I'd have been no good with the list of OSers, but could have given: chicks
, Mr Darcy, Piglet, Dorothy, panda, dolphin and son, Scottish flag, several faries, several cats, Tigger, an owl, some insects, several birds, a rodent with fried egg
, flowers, and SCARY BLUE HAIR!!!
Big apologies to everyone I've forgotten................
I remember a very funny thread during the World Cup where someone had all the Avatars on her screen replaced with Martin's "Go England" avatar. She thought she was cracking up!
