I can't type very fast on DH laptop either. My computer won't even start now. DD reckons it's stuffed but I'm hopeful the repair guy will fix it for me. IS TXMax a shop of some sort? Idiots

Aussielass, hope you get your computer sorted out.

Regards TKMaxx, yes, it's a shop! It's one of a chain, and takes in deliveries from other businesses of end of stock items, over-runs, out of season stock, and so on. It's a browser's paradise! If you have patience to go through everything you can often find some really good bargains. They do a random range of perfumes/bath stuff/soaps etc, and have quite a large homeware section. The women in Newry are devestated....

BTW Newry was one of the worst hit places in NI during the so-called Troubles. For some time there was around 25% unemployment so a huge problem with lack of inward investment, a barely surviving local economy, not to mention the vicious circle of fighting that was going on which was fueled by blatant discrimination. The peace process has turned things around, but the history of what Newry was once like is still a painful memory for many people. It's suspected that yesterday's fires are linked to the past, even if only in some small-minded idiot's opinion - it really is impossible to see how this sort of action helps anyone or any cause. History lesson over!

Morning everyone - specially to Tootles who is having a birthday today!

    Happy birthday Tootles

I hope you have a really special day (though I know you had a party already with your grandchildren...but like the Queen you can always have two birthdays!).

So much for getting a full night's sleep...lay awake for quite a long time hoping I'd nod off again, but got fed up and decided to do some internet surfing. I'll go back to bed in a minute, I usually manage another hour or two when this happens, so it's not as bad as it might seem.

It's the middle of the night - I don't have any news!

See you all later, have a fantastic day.

    Good morning all

    Happy birthday Tootles!

Hi to everyone else too, including all to follow.
Hope the chocolate lollies go well, catowen
icemaiden, I have only heard a little bit on the radio about the problems. Our DS1 & fiancee are on holiday in Egypt at the mo, so I am a bit concerned about their return journey on Monday.

Piano lesson for today, so have to drive the courtesy car (nicknamed the shoebox) and I still haven't quite got the hang of it, so will drive extra carefully.
