Good morning!
Hi Lillibet - what a pity SIL should spoil Spud's birthday with that email. Hope he had a good day otherwise
I didn't realise til this morning it was his birthday, as I had not been on here in the afternoon.
So now I am ploughing my way through the 6 pages of posts!!!!! (@ 40 a page)
I thought I would come into today before I have another 6 to do here!
Actually, I am on page 3 so far, and am very upset that only Thriftlady had remembered my existence at that point in the proceedings.
Thank you thriftlady.
and just in case anyone else remembered me in the next 3 pages, thanks to them too.....
We have a courtesy car, it's a Matiz - a far cry from my poorly Discovery, and I can't find the gearstick when driving it, then suddenly there it is right by my left knee. Woe betide anyone who sits in the passenger seat when I drive it!
It is our smallest granddaughters 1st birthday today, but we aren't going to visit although I had planned to, cos I don't feel safe driving without knowing where the gear lever is, and the pedals are all too close together. Not safe on the M25 methinks!
Now I am going back to find out what else I missed yesterday!!!
have a good day:hello:0 -
OMG Twink you all put me to shame !!! I thought I was doing exceedingly well this morning getting up at 7am & making OH a cup of tea ! The sun is shining here, the beds are unmade, admittedly I only have minimal ironing, but I do have several cupboards need clearout, & I have 2 tins of paint for the lounge that keep looking at me, together with a large pile of college work which I MUST do, etc etc. At least the 2 kids are still in bed tho.
I'm tired now I need a lie down !!!!!0 -
Good morning everyone,

Another busy day today, its cloudy at the moment, and im waiting for the first little one to arrive, then have 3 bigger ones here, although one is only here for 2 hours. I have loads of housework to do, shouldve done it yesterday but we went to the park, and then little one had a sleep (thats my excuss and im sticking to it!!!! ) so really should do it today!!! I also have a good friend and her son coming around for dinner, doing HM mackrell pate, roast chicken and then either HM chocolate pots or HM sponge pudding, havnt decided yet (or maybe both!!!!) so with a couple of bottles of wine, should be a good evening!!!!!
Right, better get started, or i will sit here all morning!
Hope everyone has a lovely day
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
trigger2- its taken me a long time to get started too, i made a list of all the things i have to do then get pleasure from seeing them being scored off, anyway enjoy the children, housework will always be there dont feel guilty about it;)0

Do you know Twink I am a bit of a list freak & I do list housework chores when it begins to get a bit manic. But my OH seems to think this is somewhat anally retentive (dunno why !) I am going to do something today I promise !0
-
I couldn't get through the day without a list of things to do - I get so easily distracted by other more interesting things and can go for days without achieving anything............ other than having great fun!!Everything in moderation..............including moderation..............0

Good morning, all! I've been up for hours, and after reading last night's thread, I've flyladied the whole street, conference call to the UN, replanted the garden, filled the freezer for several weeks' meals, and biggest challenge, cleaned children's rooms!
Shez, I didn't do the list either, but I was only named once! Couldn't sleep last night, so recalled all the OSers in my head. Had their avatars jumping over gates! You were definitely on my list - chookie people all got a mention!
IceMaiden, Catowen, following requests, I've put recipes for Apple wine, Green Tomato Chutney, and Sloe Gin, here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=2652048&posted=1#post2652048
Lilibet, how was Spud's party. Bet he'll love the Port - what a nice thought!
PPrincess - did you get to sleep?
Kyle, very best of luck. Most of us have been there.
Ageandjo - hope the hayferver clears up.
Chipps, bad news about DGS's birthday plans. Will you be able to have another party later? She'll enjoy that.
Trigger and Jan, more list makers. We'll get on great!
DD had a friend to sleep - will be making welscakes for breakfast.
Lunch - whatever they want
Tea - MrBE's cake, once I've iced it
Supper - fish pie, salad
Aarrggghh!! Loads of cross posting. Will edit once I've read them!
Have a good day, everyone. Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Hi penpen
