Women these days don't have family support. 60 years ago mum would have lived in the next street and numerous aunts and older sisters would have been around to help.........these days we're on our own.

    That's why OS works.

Here we can ask the questions and get the answers we would have got from family and friends 50 years ago. Nowadays we still need family and friends, but they aren't so easily accessible, so we use boards like this instead.

You're spot on there. My mum lives a couple of hundred miles away, and even when she didn't was always busy with work/hectic social life as is the norm with 'modern' living. The beauty of the net as opposed to the 'phone is that people are contactable when it's convenient to them - and as for forums like this one... they say that two heads are better than one, but how many thousand are on this forum alone???

Well had hv up yesterday about lo sleeping. Knew what was coming but wasnt looking forward to doing it! She said to not give him any juice and for him to cry it out! he went to bed 6.15 as he was shattered as he only slept for 30 mins yesterday!

Woke again 7.25 screamed the house down for 55 mins! then woke at 10 screamed for 25 mins.

Don't worry about it, she has got the desired effect she wanted and that was to make you feel guilty well DONT. :D:D

Like you said yesterday your MIL is not an unwanted dog and is capable of making her own mind up, perhaps you should show the e-mail to your MIL??
