Hi everyone :j
My first post on here too, so not much to say. I'm off work until September :T so had to find SOMETHING to occupy me! And hell, I've not been off this site since I did find it, tripped over it trying to find cheap tickets for the zoo.
Breakfast - none, not hungey (thankyou Paul McKenna!)
Lunch - paella bought at a food fair on Saturday
Tonight - hmm not sure yet, but today I'm making veggie shepherd's pie, asparagus tart and root vegetable crumble, so it will depend which one OH fancies when he gets home.
I sound all veggie now, don't I?! I'm not but just like these soooooooooooo much.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -

Hi Everyone,
Have been lurking about as usual, but thought this time I would pop in and say hello.
I love the embarrasing things, Im so glad that they dont just happen to me! Or maybe I just embarrass easily.:o
Have spent the first two weeks of my holiday and the kids school holiday working very hard. Had a massive clear out in the loft/garage/playhouse culminating in numerous trips to charity shops, (saw a friend last week who mentioned she had also been doing the same- charity shops must be heaving)
Had a massive clean of the house, cleared out DD's rooms, sorted out their clothes, bought school uniforms, removed name tapes, sewed in new name tapes, bought new nets for the house, (have yet to cut and edge them though) Wrote a new budget and meal planned for the new two weeks, listed lots of things on ebay.
Today I have not too much planned, DD2 is still in her PJ's practising her ballet to a cassette she has. (She broke her little toe last week after falling over the vacuum cleaner. We didnt realize it may be broken until after tea when she removed her trainers and discovered her foot had swollen up and gone black, although it looked nasty it didnt hurt and hasnt stopped her from riding her bike, or playing on her scooter. )
I am now going to dust over and vac the living room and clean the kitchen floor, sweep the drive, put away yesterdays ironing and chivvy along DD2 to actually get dressed.
After this, I will start something for pudding later, its between chocolate crunch or iced sponge at the moment, will let DD's choose. Dinner is roast chicken with all the trimmings and runner beans from the garden. Have some runner beans to pick and blanch for the freezer and a batch of tomatoes I picked earlier to slow roast with some basil and garlic and then freeze for pizza toppings, and must dig out the bread maker for some pizza dough to put in the freezer. (Did I say I had nothing much planned) Better go and get on with it!
I cant remember all the posts, but Mr LivingInHope, I hope Mrs LIH is better soon and returned to us and good luck with all your domestic duties.
AussieLass - the very thought of building my own home exhausts me! DD1's friend went to Adelaide on Tuesday to live.
Pooky - I hope your run of broken "things" has burnt itself out! My vacuum has died, I am borrowing my mums spare at the moment, my iron died last week, luckily OH mended it along with the tumble drier - luckily he is an "electronic" whizzkid as this would have cost a lot to get repaired, and we discovered our rabbit, who lives outside but sneaks inside whenever she can manage it had chewed right through the TV cable (luckily it was off at the time:eek: ) and he had to replace that too.
Johannasmum- I hope your chest infection is better soon.

Hi to Mimi, Seeweed and Nickyhutch!
Had a good laugh reading some of the funny earlier posts!:rotfl:
So far today I have conquered the ironing pile!:j , made my first ever batch of leek and potato soup(using home-grown spuds!) it was yummy!, changed the bed, tidies up generally, de-pooped the garden(3 dogs) and am about to put BM on.I am then determined to finish the great book I am reading. My mate has given me the latest Karin Slaughter to read which she says is brilliant but I'm going to save that for my holiday I think.
OH has been resting his back/leg a lot more and is feeling quite a bit better so obviouslty the advice form NHS direct was good!
B - muesli
L - leek and potato soup with HM bread as toast
D - Hm lasagne, HM wedges(own spuds again!)salad

Tinkerbelluk
There is a site called "flylady" that gives you housework and cleaning tips and gives you lists of jobs that you should be doing.
The "challenge" is to do the jobs listed - unfortunately for me, sipping coffee and browsing on here does not count!"This site is addictive!"
