    Howdy everybody,

Ooooooooh it's going to be freezing tomorrow morning. 6 degrees. :D I'll put my hot water bottle in tonight. Off to town in the morning to sort out the kitchen & then get groceries afterwards. Will take Wally. :p Had quite a busy day today and got everything I wanted done. DD has made quite a remarkable recovery ;) after a good sleep in.

(((((hugs)))))) to everyone who needs them. I'm trying very hard to be quick here as my computer crashes all the time. Can't go into too much detail tonight. DH is on his laptop. Has anybody seen Snowy? Hope your ok.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Went to see my dad last night and he seems quite cheerful.
His 82nd birthday is next Tuesday and his present arrived this morning - a box set of videos from "One foot in the Grave". may give them to him tonight as an early present so that he can enjoy them as soon as possible.

We have a family wedding on the 18th so need to get four daughters kitted out (and maybe me if I am lucky).Taking DD (12) and DD(20) out to York soon to try to get something they really like, Monsoon has some lovely stuff in the sale.

    Moggins - ((((great big hug))))
Perhaps it's time for a 'rest'? Rent a nice film(or two) both you and dd will enjoy, make a few cakes/popcorn or buy some choccie then shut the curtains and curl up together to enjoy the film and grub. Thoroughly enjoy the day and then with your batteries recharged you can set to tomorrow.
Elona - glad to hear that your dad is cheery. I take it he's been able to stay in the .. oh blimey, forgotten the word for it - you know what I mean don't you?
Aussie lass - re snowy, I think her laptop is having 'treatment' at the pc hospital, but I could be wrong as I've not been on daily....
Kitchen cleaned as are both bathrooms. DS2 is home so constant bickering and snipping all day. I wish I could find a way to cool his temper.

    Hello everyone ;)

Me and the oh are so tired from the weekend with the wedding and everything. Why on earth did we decide to leave a week of work between the party and the honeymoon?? Oh well, only three more days to go and then we are off... Can't wait...

Not much to do in the house today. Cleaned everything yesterday. I am babysitting later on in the afternoon and then off home to cook nice dinner...
We got a Marks and Spencer voucher from someone at the wedding. It was so nice just to walk in there and buy ridiculous things that I would never spend my money on!! We will have the best dinner ever tonight!

They just changed my last name at work :j from now on it will be Mrs Harris!!! Can't get used to it, it makes me laugh...

Hope everyone is having a geat day, despite moving house and lots of housework to do...

    HUGS

    Morning folks,

Well today is the day I wade through all the piles of paperwork, that's my aim anyway! Get the various invoices raised / pay outstanding invoices / do personal finances / filing etc etc .. all by 15:00. We'll see how I get on!

Yesterday ... I bought ... some "stardrops" .... you lot have thoroughly corrupted me ... only problem is .. what should I be using them for! I already use vinegar to clean down my surfaces, with a bit of bicarb now and again, soda crystals for soaking my clothes and washing the floor.

Today is not a good day for hanging out the washing! I have one load on the line getting wetter than when I put them out! Not complaining too hard though .. the garden is in desperate need of it (especially the lawn which I never water). So, I guess it's going to be a combination of t/dry to damp and airers as I have about 5 loads of washing to do (guests over at the w.e, hence loads of sheets, towels etc).

Right, I must stop prevaricating (sp?) and get on with it ... once I've found a cup of coffee and a choccie biccie!

    B - Cereal
L - Mixed olive pave with pate or ham/cheese
    D - Not sure yet.

Personally, I think taking that week in between is emminently sensible, as DH and I spent our honeymoon week (directly following the wedding) mainly asleep as all the preparations had worn us out! This way, you can sleep at work for a week, and then enjoy your honeymoon :)

    I've been Money Tipped!
Excitement over! All deliveries made and everyone was very helpful, thank goodness the weather is cooler now.

Ivyleaf - Poor you!I hope your toe mends soon.

Ajax and VickyA - Congrats on your respective marriages, wishing you many years of happiness!

Bargain Rzl - How are the plans for your flat going?

    Moggins - ((Hugs))

Elona - Sounds like a lovely gift you have got for your Dad, glad he is keeping cheerful.

I have recently been loaned my Nana's war time recipe cookbook! I have volunteered to type out the recipes for the family. Only a few recipes in there and they are mostly full of ginger so I guess she liked ginger! :D Does anyone know what tincture of ginger is? One of the recipes calls of 1 ounce of this?

I have also got some fascinating letters to type up sent to my Mum (she was a nurse) from her little sisters while they sheltered from the bombs during the blitz. Makes for fascinating reading! So I am going to be busy for a while. I can then share these with the family.

a late morning for me. ;) I just couldn't be bothered to get out of bed, so i didn't.

RZL - Vicky has picked a good time of year to marry for changing her name. I got married at october half term last year, and could only change my name at the start of the year, so i decided to go for 8 weeks of being called the wrong name, rather than nearly a whole year. It still confuses the kids as to what to call me. Some of them it doesn't take a lot. Hope you manage to meet your deadline to get your bonus. That would make a big difference in how quick you can afford stuff for the flat. Believe me, we did a few months without a WM, and that was rubbish, although we felt it more essential to get a fridge, then a freezer, then my aunty took pity on me and bought us one for xmas between us. :o

It's a really wet miserable day again :T which is fab for me. My day will involve more wallpaper stripping. I'm going to try and finish it today, as i'm at the midwife tomorrow, and then want to potter a bit in different rooms for the rest of the week before our holiday next week.

Hugs to moggins - i usually feel better if i have a bit of a pamper. Either a book with a cuppa, or a nice bath with a face mask, or sit and do a manicure on myself. Sounds like DD is nicely occupied and you could do something self indulgent.

going to go and make a start to my day before it all disapears on here. OOOPS. ;)

    Michelle, xx
