ivyleaf - yes unfortunately I am now in an office without a window (sob) hopefully when one becomes available we can move;) - but for now its not so bad, it is a nice office/place to work and believe me Ive worked in naffer places!
Just been reading my monthly stars on internet, loved the crystal ball smilie kaz!! you read them then totally forget 5 mins later dont ya?
Yesterday I got a freebie Dreamnumber ticket from Tesco, fingers crossed for saturday then:D
Rain finally reached us overnite, so plants are refreshed.

moggins - put yr music on loud and have a dance around, shake yr groove thang!
whats happened to the stuff you bought at AS yesterday????0 -
Rzl - i think most of us are as excited as you are about your new flat, i remember when i bought my house, i had bought before, with ex, but that relationship had ended so badly (left me and the children in rented accomadation and on income support) that i felt so proud when i finally owned my own place, and i had done it on my own!!!! Now have my mortgage pig, to help me pay it off a bit quicker. Ex OH still doesnt know ive bought this house (i think) and one day im really looking forward to rubbing his nose in how well ive done without him!!!! And now it looks like Pooky might be joining you, so that will be exciting too!!!! Good luck with the de cluttering, i did the decluttering as i moved in, physically couldnt get everthing in the house, so what couldnt go in, had to go to the dump!!!! Mind you, the local kids had a field day helping themselves to the stuff we didnt want/couldnt fit in the house - it was a good way to meet the neighbours!!!!
Kaz - good luck with the rest of your grass(well, bark), mine is full of brown patches that i keep meaning to re seed. I put down some weed and feed 2 years ago, and found out that what i thought was grass was actually weed, as it killed everything!!!! This year, finally got some grass to grow, and then it all started dying because of the weather!!!! never mind the children will play on anything!!!!
Right, off to make some scones now, have already cleaned the kitchen floor this morning, so thats a job i hate out of the way!!!!
Take care everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Humph. Am having an expensive week  ... Bought birthday presents for 2 friends at the weekend, total cost £23. Placed an order to restock my very very empty wine rack, cost £86 (budgeted for, and it was a fabulous deal for 24 bottles of decent stuff, but it's still £86!). Have just spent £20 on a set of ramekin dishes which were the cheapest "whole set" item on my friends' wedding list (which reminds me, I need to RSVP to the wedding invite). Will be shelling out £300 before the week is over, for a "holding deposit" on the flat. Need to get some solicitors' quotes this week too - errrrrrk

Morning!
(((hugs))) to all who need them!
Haven't managed to get on here for long recently as the work on the bathroom has started. The dividing wall between the nextdoor cupboard and the bathroom is now down! Many bags of rubble awaiting the skip now. The water has just been turned off, don't worry I have saved some jugs of water and filled the kettle so can still make the tea!The sink and loo are now being taken out, thank goodness I have a downstairs loo! and knowing my luck the skip, bathroom suite and electricians will all turn up together!
Oops there goes the doorbell! Wish me luck!

I have had my coffee, cleaned the living room, sorted out the junk cupboard under the stairs, put away the folding garden chairs for now, its too windy to sit on the patio, the wind is blowing straight at the back of the house. Not grumbling, its ssssssssssssooooooooooo much cooler and I am sleeping better, and my computer is behaving..............
Oh came back for a drink and has now gone off to finish off his grass....I have updated the shopping list and decided on fish with new pots, carrots, green beans and cauli for supper, not decided on a dessert though....may be fresh fruit...........
Tried to check my Tesco CC this morning was so slow loading I gave up......could have ironed a shirt whilst I was waiting....not that I have any to iron, they are all done and put away!!!!!
Lunch to think about, maybe cheese and tomato sandwiches and an apple each?????? have a bit of my greek yogurt left so could slice the apple into it, put a few toasted oats and brown sugar in.....yup think that will do.......

Shez - no, I was thinking about that, but then in Saturday's Times there was an insert advertising a deal (one of these introductory offers to a wine plan with no obligation to buy more) that was effectively a BOGOF - buy a £79.99 case and get another free, plus £5.99 on top for delivery - the Sunday Times Wine Club is one of the Laithwaites group so the quality is always really good, and although the small print always says the deals are for new customers only, they never seem to enforce this!
