Good morning Penny-Pincher!!, catowen, Churchmouse, Kazonline, mrsmortenharket, Pooky, jockettuk, troo, tootles and to those who post after me...
Back in the office today but leaving about 4 for a doctors appointment so should be back in the house for about 6pm. First thing I need to do is get my walking boots on and go out for an hour as I haven't done a bit of exercise for 2 months due to my slipped disc - but I jumped on the scales this morning and found I'd lost 3lb (despite eating my own body weight in food on Saturday) so I want to keep up the momentum now.
Breakfast: HM Yoghurt, Oats, chopped apple
Lunch: HM veg soup, banana
Dinner: HM Cheese and Lentil loaf, salad
Rest of evening will be spent revising for Friday's exam and getting various documents together so I can buy the car tax in the morning
Have a lovely day everyone! :T0 -

Morning everybody :hello: ... Am at w**k ... Am planning to leave on time this evening though, to go to a Prom ... Good luck at the hospital, PP ... Am hoping that the paperwork for the flat might be waiting for me when I get home cos I really want to get things moving ... I was not terribly productive yesterday evening ... Rather than sort out "the bombsite" or do any cooking or laundry, I lay in bed with a glass of wine (or, um, three) watching telly ... Need to do a MAJOR decluttering exercise over the next few weeks because I am determined that the new flat will NOT be a bombsite! (It will be the first time in my adult life (have I really been an adult for 10 years?
 ) that I won't have been ridiculously short of space - well, except for the 8 months I spent living in an unfurnished house-share, which resulted in me having lived ever since with 2 rooms' worth of furniture in one room! ) ... Flat is an adequate size but has hardly any built-in storage (just a little cupboard in the hall) so I need to be ruthless (not easy when your name's Ruth - LOL!) and get rid of anything that I haven't missed for the 4 years it's been in a box in the loft! ... Anyway ... Got to go ... See you later ... Rzl  xx

Lisa (harket
) Good luck with your house blitz!
Pooky - Mines a large latter pleaseI can 100% recomend the welsh cakes for making with kids. Hard to get it wrong and lots of rolling out and cutting. They freeze well too if you have any spare and are fantastic for picnics.
Jocket - we must be on the same wavelength. forgot the pinch punch thing until I logged back on and it socked me in the head - sure I'm picking up on your thought wavesMoving is extremely stressfull and everyone knows it. I know it's not easy but do try to get some 'calm' time. If you can 'switch off' then when you 'switch on' again you'll be far more productive.
Troo - I get the same problem with my little 'animals', oops childrenGood luck with the clear up!
Tootles - as soon as Pooky has made my latte I'll join you
The soil in my garden is in such a state I've ordered some sand to dig into it - a lot cheaper than I expected! It should be arriving tomorrow so fingers crossed for dry weather tomorrow. I can also use it to improve the soil in my 'herb' garden. Isn't the net a usefull tool? I did a few searches last night and came up with loads of info on improving the soil etc. Only down side is it's easy to get lulled into a false sense of security and think it's the cheapest place to buy stuff. On both the bark chips and the sand I've found the prices online to be about 3x as expensive as locally! So, it pays to check... Well, second cuppa of the day is going cold (gave up on waiting for my latte) Hope you all have a good day.

Morning all,
nothing much to report here, the sky is grey, hope it improve by tomorrow! Just waiting to DH to come home from work, hopefully I might get to spend some time with him before he has to go out tonight. He got a phone call asking him to conduct for a band rehearsal as their conducter (DH's Dad) is going to be away, surely they must have known before yesterday. So he will be gone all evening. I'm getting very bored with spending all my evenings alone.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

good morning to every one.....well yesterday..started having my house blitz...cleaned living room...and managed to shampoo most of the carpet.... so giving it another cleaning again today,as it was so dirty. ...i feel another wash will just finish it off nicely....went to have a look at some vintage clothing last night....and there were so old aprons.... i just had to have them.....my hubby now thinks i have a wired fettish with aprons....i think when i get a feather duster that's when he's got to start worrying.....:D
so today as long as i shampoo carpet again.....sort out and wash vintage clothes..and go and see another lot later on.... i will be happy with work done today......
oh ....yes.....and make some cakes....as eggs need to be used up....
have a nice day everyone..:rotfl: ..hope no one gets to stressed out...:eek:Work to live= not live to work0 -
Morning!
Moggins - (((hugs))) to you, I always hated that too when DH was away on exercise etc (not with a band tho, he hasn't been in a band since he used to play the bass drum in the band at Harrogate AAC!);)
P-P - hope things go okay at the hospital.
Kaz - good luck with the garden, it'll be really worth it in the end!;)
Jockett - hope the move goes all right, as I'm sure it will - just chaotic while it's happening, isn't it! We've lived here for 23 years now and certainly wouldn't fancy moving.
Bargain Rzl - just wait, as soon as you get your stuff down from the loft you'll be falling on things with glad cries and exclaiming "I'd forgotten I HAD that!" At least that's what I always do!Hopefully you'll be more sensible!
COOLTRIKERCHICK - feather dusters are very OS! And very useful for things like cobwebs high up in corners. I've got the synthetic anti-static equivalent and wouldn't be without it!
Mrsmortenharket - good luck with the house blitz! I think mine could do with the same thing. Still, will keep on with the baby steps. I was pleased yesterday as i remembered to hoover the padded headboard on our bed which had needed doing for ages but i never remembered until I was getting into bed!
Taplady - sorry to hear OH's back is still bad! Well done with the weight loss.:T
Got to go now, so apologies to everyone I haven't mentioned! Hope you all have a good day. Will pop back later.

Can anyone give me some inspiration? I feel really down today for no good reason and am finding it hard to do anything, DD is wrecking the living room with her craft things so I've given up there. I just want something to do that will cheer me up a bitOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things
