And I might have just had a big bowl of ice cream which helped a lot! ;)

    Hi everyone

Thought I'd get this started but only because I happened to notice it's Pink-winged's birthday today!

Happy birthday Pink-winged, have a lovely day and thank you for your hard work on here!

A little poem I "borrowed" from a card I received:
    Pink-winged.....
Why not relax and have a drink?
Leave those dishes in the sink.
Don't let housework give you sorrow,
    Do the washing up tomorrow!

Today for me is simply "another day, another dollar". W*** is incredibly slow at the moment, though it does give me time to email my friend who is also v.bored in his job. Some even got through the office spammer...(they may have been verging on slightly rude)!!!

It's also a voting day where I am, just this constituency though, so I'll have to go and do my civic duty at some point. Being in the countryside though the polling station is always a bit of a trek away. Still, it'll get me out of the house...

Hope everyone has a fabulous Wednesday. Nearly the weekend again Hurrah!!

Hope it's a good one!!! CMxx

Have to add Snowy, I was looking at an old thread this afternoon, where you had posted photos of yourselves, and you're really lovely looking!!! A real Irish beauty!! I still think you should have got a part-time job last week to help defray your expenses!!!!

Shopping was a bit of Doh day. But will tell you all on the new thread once it starts. Being a quiet sort of gal, I don't like to start it. ;)

    Good morning everyone,

    Happy Birthday Pink-Winged.
Hello Snowy & Churchmouse. I had a bit of a blonde day today. Went into town specifically today to buy a generator from Aldi. While in there I did some shopping and sorted out my kitchen from another place. The generator isn't for sale until tomorrow . After giving them a sob story :D I still couldn't pay for one as they hadn't arrived in store yet. So I'll have to go back again tomorrow. What a pain.

The DIY kitchen which will be identical (nearly) to the one quoted from the cabinet makers is less than half the price. DH & I will have a good talk about it tonight seeing as I have all the info now. DH made my last kitchen and let's just say it had it's faults. :D But a saving of $5,500 is nothing to be sneezed at. GF's husband who is a fantastic DIY'er is giving him a hand so it may be ok.

Well I'll be off. Computer hasn't crashed once today. :jI have to wait until DH can take it in, bit awkward for me on the ferry/buses. Have a great day and might pop in tonight. Byeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Morning Guys

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY-Pink-Winged:beer: :T

    Slept better last night:D

WM is on, DW half full and toilet cleaned. House is generally clean and tidy.

This morning, I really must crack on with my essay, which is due today:eek:

OH & DD are going to the coast for the afternoon..weather permitting, so I am going to my friends house and staying with her as Im not feeling so good. Be nice to get out and will take my laptop if I havent finished the essay by then. Seems rude, but this is so important and will just keep it on and keep going back to it..even if just for 10 mins at a time. Hopefully me brain will kick in.

SIL came yesterday and did some jobs around the house for me and the ironing. She has offered to come and do some grotty jobs whilst we're away and make sure we have some bread and milk when we get home.

We are leaving Saturday, just before lunch and meeting with folks at Waitrose, which is 4 miles from where we are staying. Most items I am taking with me (have a box set up in the kitchen ATM), have meal planned, but will still need to get some fruit/veg/fridge/chicken/pie etc etc...so may as well go to Waitrose and use some of my vouchers....my mum will be horrified:D :p;)
My new wheels should be arriving today:beer: :j :T Have bought an electric lightweight scooter to get around easier:D....hopefully this will mean that I wont have to rely on OH so much and take a run down to our local Lidls or Sainsburys;).......wel thats what Im hoping...but we will see:o

Anyway, Id better go and get reading!

Breakie: Honey/Nut Shreddies. HM Yogurt and Fruit
Lunch: Fish, mash and veg (cooked whilst oven was on last night)
Dinner: Not sure as eating out

Gonna go try that picture I took of the yogurt yesterday.

    Hugs to all

    PP
    xx
