Aaaarrgghhh!! To top it all off our neighbour came round to tell us that hot water was pouring from the overflow. DH had a look in the tank and has snapped the ballvalve off!! So he's now gone into town to buy a new one and we have no water atm to stop water pouring into the tank. He has to go out at 6.30 so I'm hoping he gets it fixed by then as I wanted to soak in the bath this evening :(
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

where are you going on honeymoon again? i forgot

Well we were gonna go to the States but my wallet got stolen which had my driving license in it, so now we can't go as I needed the license to hire a car... And the States without a car is impossible.

We have now decided to go to Austria instead. I know it's quite different but it's gonna be great. I didn't fancy hot spot tourism destinations like mallorca or crete, it would have been packed this time a year. We found ourselves a private guest house by a big lake with loads of activities to do...

    Hi all,

Ajax 18 - if you haven't been to Austria before you will love it. It's so clean and the lakes are gorgeous. We've been a lot and I tell DH I'm going to live there eventually. There's something about the mountains, especially living in flat East Anglia for 20 odd years:eek:

Moggins, sometimes there's nothing to do except give in to the gloom and get through to the next day - I usually find things much brighter after a night's sleep.

Had a busy day ferrying DS around and trying to fit it in with work. Not easy! Just starting to rain and gone much colder thankfully, hopefully the house will be cool tonight.

I have been twice now, not the area we are going to next week but close to it and it was absolutely gorgeous...

I am sure it will be beautiful. Have you been to the Woerthersee at all? That's where we are going...

Don't normally post here, but have had a horrible day and wanted to have a quick rant about it, so scroll down to the next post if you don't want to hear about my rubbish day!

Had a cr*p day at w*rk, relly short staffed, out of 6 of us this afternoon the part timer had gone home, someone had to go to the doctor's, someone else had booked to leave early and then the manager had to go to a meeting, leaving two of us to run the branch (I work in a bank), so after leaving work an hour late  I got home and checked my ebay to see what the things I was watching were up to and some ars*h*le had hacked into my account (don't know how as I've never replied to any spoof emails OH works in IT so am very good about that sort of thing. He thinks it may be that ebay was hacked as opposed to my account, so have a quick check of your ebay and make sure all is in order) so I've spent the past 40 minutes cancelling the 27 auctions they had listed, changing my enay and hotmail passwords and writing a lengthy email to ebay telling them all about it and asking where to go from here.

Grr, I really hate people sometimes!

Was going to make susage casserole with dumpings for tea, but that's gone out the window now, think I'll have a nice comforting jacket potato with lots of cheese!

Thanks for listening, feel better now!
  • Afternoon all,

A productive day for me today. Went up to nan's house to clear some stuff out for charity, and was approached by 3 seperate neighbours in an hour, asking if we were looking to sell the house as they were very interested and would pay cash!!!!.

I went to the estate agents and they are coming to value tomorrow so that I can contact the Solicitor and get the ball rolling.

The house and it's contents have been left to me and my brother so a cash buyer would be great as it will cut out the estate agent, and things would move quicker as my brother lives in Hong Kong.

Also managed to do some washing,b ut desperately need to blitz the house before sunday, as we are away for the week.

Hope everyone has had a good day and enjoy your evening.

    Hi everyone!

Sorry to have been so slack with posting recently - puter was in hospital, and since then things have been rather dull. Well computer is back now - the diagnosis was "it's not reading CDs". Hmm, yes that's what I said when I brought it in, so can you fix it? "It'll cost £150 and yes we can fix it." Nearly laughed my socks off. Am not getting it fixed, I can live without playing CDs on it - if for some reason I must get it fixed then an external drive will do blinking well!

I was off wor....oooo nearly said it...w**k last week, and in my leisure time managed to relieve myself of nearly a grand. Get up from the floor Moggins!!! I got all my light fittings bought and put up (lots of sale bargains but it still adds up), and have ordered my blinds for all of my 12 windows. I will be shopping for carpet soon, and want to get the garden rotavated and seeded, so that'll be the guts of another grand. It all needs doing, am fed up with living in a half finished house. I'm back at w*** this week - it's really dull there at the moment, I nearly slid off my chair yesterday with boredom.

Ajax - many, many congratulations to you on your wedding. That is fab news. Your honeymoon sounds lovely too - I'd love to go to Austria, it looks beautiful.

Sarahmelita - rant all you want! There are lots of open ears in Old Style. Hope your comfort food had the desired effect, and that there are no repercussions from that ebay nightmare.

Catznine - hope your builders are making good progress. They create an awful amount of dust, don't they! You can go and hide in your new conservatory though.

That's all for now folks. See you tomorrow if anything interesting happens. Bye!

    Ajax,

No haven't been there. My favourite place in the whole world is the Achensee not too far from Innsbruck. It's a brilliant turquoise colour and has a spectacular walk round it - people rave about Lake Garda but it has nothing compared to the Achensee.
