Afternoon everyone!!
I can't possibly reply to everyone who's already posted so I'm just giving out a generic :grouphug: and a
My inner teenage rebel came out for one last rebellion yesterday (I'm 20 next week so I guess I had to let it have one last run out!!). Firstly, in the morning, I had a big temper tantrum at my mum for no apparent reason other than that she was there!! Then it took me into Boots... Now Boots is dangerous territory for me under normal circumstances and I have to be really restrained and stick only to AC or other special offers, or things that i really honestly need, otherwise I spend a fortune. In "Teenage Rebel" mode, the place, for me, spells bankruptcy!!!!!
Anyway, my TR (teenage rebellion) took me straight past the AC machine  and straight over to the Clinique counter where, after 45 minutes of being pampered, I handed over my card and paids for goods to the amount of £50   I wouldn't have minded so much, but I don't get paid until next week and I only came away with a few products - a compact foundation, a powder and an eye cream, as well as a handful of samples relevant to my "personalised 3-step skincare routine" for me to try out before buying
Soon after leaving the shop I felt very very guilty and hid my purchases from my OH... although not very well and he found them!! I went into panic mode about having spent so much needless money but he *bless him* calmed me down, offered to pay me half of what I'd spent as an extra little(?!) birthday present, and then lectured me about how I needed to spend a bit of time and money looking after myself, and I'd been feeling bad about how I look lately and maybe a change in skincare routine and make-up would help...
And he was right!!!!!!! I feel much better about myself today - my skin looks and feels more healthy and my make-up doesn't look like it was applied in the dark! And because I've been feeling good I seem to have got a helluva lot of housework done, and still managed to have a good flick though "The New English Kitchen" - by the way moggins, I actually love you for recommending that book!!!
Anyway I'm going to go now as I have taken too much time out of your busy OS lives...
Roz x
EDIT: Just re-read this and it sounds like a fly-lady-esque testimonial to final teenage rebellions and Clinique!! :rotfl:0 -

Hi, Moggins! Bake him a cake! I bought mine as a treat 13 years ago when I left work, took redundancy, and stayed at home with my new baby. It gets used every week, and I love it. There's a "Kenwood Chef" anonymous thread, if you need to be amongst friends.

Roz - i LOVE clinique!!! I normally look out for bonus time tho, so i can get lots of free make up!!!! (and DD loves the small tester pots!!!)0 -
It was a bargain honest!! LX direct had it reduced in their sale, I used a £10 off code and added some sheets that we badly needed, some new PJ's for DD and stuck it on Buy Now Pay March so I don't have to worry about it until after christmasOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Could you shout it at him over your shoulder as you rush out the door? But i think food might be the way forward
Roz-Enjoy your nice things and your teenage rebellion.0 -
It is bonus time at the minute so I reckon I didn't do too badly!!
Moggins - lie blatantly and hide it... Or if your DH is anything like mine, he'll not even notice that there's a new appliance in the kitchen... In fact, him finding the kitchen would be a start!! :rotfl: As for the ££'s... it's nearly Xmas and you were treating yourself.....
Loubee, you've just inspired me: TR #2: I'm not going to spend my entire bank holiday cleaning up after OH!! :rotfl:0 -
Sounds like a good idea! You could also trying lolling around in bed for ages too:D0

Moggins you got Buy now pay March? Don't bother telling him at all!! Well at least not until next March when, if you saved £10 a month you can say how GOOD you are to have half already!!You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0
