    Morning all!

Absolutely knackered today, next door's dog spent most of the night barking at the foxes!!! I realise there's not a lot she can do, but why does she let him out? When he's indoors, I can hear him distantly, but if I'm not awake it won't wake me IYSWIM. But as soon as she lets him out he's racing up and down, barking and growling, while she's saying " Oh, please be quiet!"

Finally got to sleep after 5 am, alarm went off at 6am. Typically, bloody dog was silent, so instead of going to the gym I went back to bed!! I've only been up 20 minutes!! Going to have to get a wriggle on DGS will be here shortly.

Hope everyone has good days, I'm off out with friends for a girly night out tonight. See you all tomorrow, some time, I hope. Byee

morning all, apologies but i simply do not have time to read through all the posts this morning. it's 9.02 and i have to leave for work in four mins, and i' still eating brekkie. it's been a hectic morning but i managed to shower, dry/straighten hair, do face, get dressed!, make pasta for lunch, do last nights dishes (wasnt in till after 11 so really was too tired), make the bed and pack my bag for the gym. and only since 7.45 when i managed to drag myself out of bed!

need to go to the bank at lunch then got heaps to do tonight. i promise to post later cause i'm gonna ask all your advise on how to be old style, maybe i can find some extra time and actually get a chance to sit down to breakfast in the mornings!

have a good day everyone and hugs to those who don't.

Quick question for you knowledgeable cooks out there.

At Easter I was given a lovely bit of ham. It had the bone in it. After we ate it I wrapped the bone up and been moving it around the freezer ever since. ;) I defrosted it today and put some green peas on to soak for tomorrow. Can I cook it up normal as in pea & ham soup do you know? It's just I usually use ham bones that look a lot different that this in P & H soup.

Jay Great news. Sometimes it's so hard to get in on the same day. Well it is here.

Churchmouse Do you know the song Who Let the Dogs out? It was a hit a few years ago. Maybe you can play it full ball when she does. :D
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    morning everyone.

Its really miserable here today. There was a right thunderstorm this morning, so luckily we got up just as it started to let my two cats in. They were cowering under the hydrangea bush, and quickly shot in. Hope the weather is better tomorrow as the plasterer is coming and should be here about 6 hours, so we were hoping to get some pruning done in the garden and the grass cut so we weren't under his feet. Might have to do some decluttering upstairs if it is wet.

pink winged sorry to hear little tilly is not well. It is very upsetting when they are under the weather.

dorry thanks for thinking about me. Honestly i'm a lot better than i've been, no pain at all since tuesday, and i'm convinced it is from over doing it or sitting wrong, but i will definitely talk to the midwife about it next week. Hope your presentation goes well.

I'm waiting for a break in the weather as i need to go pay DH's wages in the bank. I also want to pop into the Jack fultons and the somerfield to do a bit of shopping. Might have to borrow DH's coat and luck a bit silly, as i'll get soaked otherwise. I can't wait till i can get my normal clothes on again, and not spill things down my huge front all the time.

Going to have a quick browse of the other threads now while i finsh my tea, and then make a start i think. This bad weather doesn't inspire me, but at least i am not overheated and as exhausted all the time. :rotfl: can't win can it.

Morning :hello: ... Hope to find out the gist of the results of the valuation survey on the flat today ... Mortgage broker is phoning them later ... (I'm really worried - main worry is that cos there's going to be shops downstairs, that they won't want to give me a mortgage at all  ) ... On the bright side OUR SHOWER IS FIXED :j :j :j :j ... No more leakage and it's got great water pressure AND continuous hot water! ... Hurrah - I've had my first really decent shower in ages ... Ticklemouse, did I hear you mention a birthday? :D ... A little birdie (well, your MSE profile actually :D) tells me that it's tomorrow - so, everybody, we've all got to get ready to POUNCE on TM with birthday wishes on tomorrow's thread :D ... Kiwi, sorry your day turned crap :grouphug: ... Do try and catch Anthea when it's repeated on Sunday , it was hilarious, there was a blonde one and a dark one and the blonde one was sooooooo dizzy you wouldn't believe :rotfl: ... I must confess I spent a little while trying to master Anthea's magic T-shirt-folding technique but am still none the wiser :o ... PenPen, I used to listen to the Archers (due to addicted parents :D) but I don't at the moment as I'm more of a Radio 3 girl - lots of my friends are addicted though :D - however an acquaintance of mine thinks I'm wonderful for programming the theme tune into his "compose your own ringtone" mobile :D:D ... Haven't been watching BB this year at all - some years I get into it, others I don't ... The X Factor starts again tomorrow :j :j - I rarely follow the series all the way through, but the audition rounds are a MAJOR guilty pleasure ... Must go for now ... see you later ... Rzl xx

Just to answer Poppy & Shell & anyone else
The busiest time is between 1 & 6am, tho there are enough callers between 7 & 10 for me to earn a small amount There seems to be mainly Irish & Australian on when I work & as to how I can do it this early in the morning, I do it for the money so I just grit my teeth & log on, lol.
If I get any really funny calls today I'll let you know.
Thanks for the advice about the weetaix cake.

HH Call me naive but how does the phone call end? Do they just want to talk a bit dirty or just chat about nothing cos they're lonely. God it must cost the Aussie men heaps to ring up the UK. You'd think they'd do it here.

  • Hi Aussielass
Most want my to talk dirty, though some are lonely & just want to chat. Most phone calls end the same way, the guys come & go, if you get my drift, lol.
I'm also getting my sewing machine out today as I have an evening dress to take up for a work collegue so I will do that at the same time & just stop the machine if i get a call.

The X Factor starts again tomorrow :j :j - I rarely follow the series all the way through, but the audition rounds are a MAJOR guilty pleasure

Same here! Just seeing the terrible people who think that they're "made" for singing getting told that they're not the best is just fab. At least I know my limits. :D

Well, I've been quite productive today so far... like I'm out of bed, showered and dressed :D The letting agents have been round this morning to make sure that we haven't trashed the place. I had to apologise for all our wedding presents all over the living room... but she took great delight in having a good nosey at them  :D

At 11am I'm going to the local coffee shop along with my laptop to do some planning with the "Literacy Co-ordinator" from my school. I'm really grateful to her for giving me some of her time, especially as she goes on holiday tomorrow! :)

At 3pm I'm going on a magical mystery tour with a local estate agent. She's going to show me some of the properties on her books that are within our price range... You never know what you might see.

    See you all later
