Morning ageandjo and elona
Good luck at the funeral director's elona - are you taking someone with you?
If you'd been speeding ageandjo you'd have had an instant response :rotfl:
Anyway DH has gone to the gym (nutter!) and DD is downstairs having her breakfast - porridge. I'm going to jump in the bath, and then stick some pizza dough on for DD's party today.
Take care everyone - has anyone seen Queenie?
ByeSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -

Morning all! Thanks to everyone for their good wishes for my wedding anniversary last week. :A
Ageandjo, what's this about the police? Sorry, been away for the weekend, and not caught up yet! Just point me to which day's thread, and I'll read it myself.
Elona, ((((((hugs))))) to you. The presents for your daughters are a lovely thought.
SOM - have a lovely day!
FF, have a great day enlarging your garden! Where are you getting the extra space from?
How are things Chez Shez? Hope you're feeling better, hun.
Catowen, we've been walking in Dovedale in Derbyshire. There were loads of sloes, but they're very small, probably due to the dry weather earlier in the year. However, we did find a tree with lovely big bullaces on. Mr Penguin, who knows far more about these country things than I, passes on to you his belief that they will make superb sloe gin. Hope this helps you, and puts sloe gin back on the menu!
Have a great day, all, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Morning Guys!
Slept well dispite DD not being here:D My throat is very sore and I feel lousy, so not sure if Im coming down with something. I have PMT too:eek:
WM is on, DW needs emptying and toilet has been cleaned. The house is generally clean and tidy. If its dry enough today, OH said that he would cut the lawn and do some weeding, but looks pretty damp out there ATM.
One of my best mates is going to America next Tuesday, so am drawing up my shopping list as the dollar is so good ATM. He goes 1-2 times a year and I get most of my toiletries from there. Dove stick deodrants...three times the size of here £1.50, Suave Vit E Cream in a huge dispenser 800ml...£2.50, Aveda High Define Wax £4 (here £16), Suave Body shower cream with exfoilitian beads...£1.75 for 750ml. Also some A1 Steak sauce, Lucky charms, Oreos and the american sweets. I cant wait:D I love America, but wont be able to go now till DD is older because of the expense and the school trips we will be paying out for:eek:
Only have one hospital visit today, for a lovely injection of Vitamin D and calcium....lucky me!
Breakie: Left over Bubble and Squeak
Lunch: Jacket Spud
Dinner: Toad In Hole, Mash and Veg
Hugs to everyone. Elona hope the meeting goes ok today.

Good Morning Ageandjo, Elona, SOMO1, Funkyfairy and all to follow.
This is the earliest I have been up since the start of the holidays and it does feel quite good - did go to bed at 8pm last night tho due to having a cold.Am in my office now and hope to get loads of paperwork done with no telephone interuptions and children should sleep in for another 1.5 hours - bliss.
Have still got a cold but am detemined to get some stuff done, after office work will clear the washing basket - dont know what the weather is going to be like yet, do some housework then tonight will do the inevitable ironing.
Need to get a chicken out of the freezer so can have roast chicken with all the trimmings tonight - just need to pop down the road and pick up a marrow.
If I do really well might offer to take the children bowling later - wont mention it to then now tho. Then much later I will browse on here and catch up with yesterdays thread as didnt come on here at all - and it sure felt strange.:rotfl:
Anyway hope you all have a great day.
Hope the arrangements go well Elona.
Ageandjo - hope the police bother to turn up soon. I assume you are keeping a diary of everything thats happening.
Also Good Morning to Pen Pen & PP. - Hope the hospital visit is speedy and non-painful PP - your post got me thinking about Reeces Peanut Butter Cups which is a bit sickening this time of the morning but luckily for me loads of places sell them here.0 -

Nothing much planned today so will prob just potter about, may clean out a couple of cupboards, tend to the garden that sort of thing and see how the day develops.

Ageandjo, that's bad. As someone else said, they'd have been round quickly enough if you'd been speeding.
Lillibet, just seen the pics of Spud's picnic. It looks lovely - did you mention you had some left over...........
PP - hope it's not too tarumatic at the hospital.
Essex girl - I have marrow looking for a home. Do you want to make the road you pop up the M1?? :rotfl: :rotfl:
Twink, enjoy your pampering. We'll all take a look at your haircut when you're back! :rotfl: :j :rotfl:
Icemaiden, yes the camping was fab! The Alton Towers trip (Monday courtesy of Mr Tesco) was touch and go, but we got away without getting wet at all. We did have to turn in early on Sunday, though, as it rained in the evening. We traded in our large family tent for 2 smaller ones (easier for me and the children to erect when DH is off on his travels) so no longer have a "sitting area" for when it's wet.
Must go, want to do some ironing with a video, before small people surface. Then tidy the kitchen, and put away the camping stuff. Got loads in the garden that needs freezing, and a marrow to convert into jam.
Penny. x
PS, it's great to have everyone's avatars back. I spent quiet moments over the weekend trying to match everyone to their pic!:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0
