    Hello :hello:

I feel lousy today - must have slept wierd the night before last as the right hand side of my middle back is in pain - hardly slept a wink last night as every time I move it hurts. Didn't help that boyfriend doesn't keep anti-inflammatories at his house as he doesn't believe in taking medication  (he will now having to put up with me last night :rotfl: ). Thankfully I'm a physio student and I think I know what I've done and what to do with it....not looking forward to a week or so of pain though  (I'm a rubbish patient!).

Snoozer - good luck with your MRI tomorrow. I have to have one tomorrow too...on my shoulder. I'm falling apart

Penelope penguin - I love camping! Going to Leeds festival over the BH weekend :T

Essex girl - hope your cold gets better soon

Penny pincher - good luck at the hospital and hope your daughter had fun last night!

Elona - good luck today. Hope you and your family are doing ok :grouphug:

Well - I am going to ice my back today and then take some anti-inflammatories. Then on a mission to find some cheap wellies for Leeds festival.....made the mistake of forgetting those at Glastonbury last year

    Morning Old Stylers,

Yesterday ended up being far from the lazy day I had wanted, had 2 friends over with there 4 kids so had a real housefull. Had a driving lesson at 6.30 which went like crap, so much so that we have decided to delay my 4th (yes, I really have failed 3 already!) test. It was due to be on the 5th of Sept but I just dont feel ready, so many failures leaves you with very little confidence in your ability.

I dont know what the symptoms of insomnia are but may well do some googling today and poss book an appt with my gp as I just seem to be awake at all hours of late. Its taking its toll on my mood and temper.

ageandjo why not make your mum some kind of pamper basket/box for her retirement? Little sample size bits and pieces now that she has a bit more time to spend on herself. You could tailor it to her likes, putting in some gardening bits if she likes that etc. Little hand creams etc, they normally have things like that cheap at boots and even give you free samples at the cosmetics counters if you ask nicely. Same at debenhams, you could end up with a nice little collection.

elona that was a really thoughtful thing to do, I bet the girls were really touched.

funkyfairy have fun in the garden today, I will be out today measuring up for a concrete base for our garden shed. Cant wait till the 1 ton of hardcore arrives and I have to take it by the barrowload down to the bottom of the garden - NOT!!! I'll be earning my points with weight watchers that day:rolleyes:.

penny-pincher that high define wax sounds nice, in fact all of it does! I orderd a soft toy from the states yesterday for dd's 2nd birthday. It a Ruby rabbit from the Nick Jr channel, she loves it and to get one here of the same size is £17.99 then £3.95p+p, mine from the states cost a total of £8.51!!!!

hardup hester good luck with the interview

snoozer hope the MRI goes OK for you

freyaluck I hope you feel a bit better today now that you've decided to see the doc, even making the decision is a weight off.

snow-angel hope you feel better soon, DH suffers with a bad back after a car accident in feb, hes constantly taking anti inflamatories as the physio says she cant do anything for him.

I've prob missed out a whole raft of people as its taken me ages to type this, I might not do it tomorrow! So love and hugs to those I missed and those in need.

    Chat later,
    Kiwi.

    Morning all

Well bread maker on, washing machine just finished so about to get it out on the line (actually looks like we might have a sunny day today :j ). Hoover downstairs, kitchen tidied, bathroom done. Mind you kids not dressed and neither am I

The weather is good news as surestart have a teddybear picnic planned for today so somewhere to take the kids that will be free. The town council put on puppet show type things every Friday so trip for that planned too! That means I can take them swimming next week, will have picnic on bus on way there! My girls love going on the bus.

Made 6 HM burgers and 5 portions of bolognase for the 2 girls yesterday all for the bargain price of £2.63! Popped into somerfield and their lean mince steak was reduced so chuffed with that.

Oh well washing is calling. Then hoover upstairs, tidy the girls play room and then get picnic lunch ready.

    Sixth Anniversary
    Morning everyone

Well back to reality today - had such a lovely day yesterday with catherine (catowen) and her children.

I have collected all the baking ingredients from my cupboards and discovered i have loads of it so thought i might have a baking marathon this afternoon with DD's after i have taken DS to his friends house.

It's very difficult to try and spend individual time with the children so most times i have to try and think of things that they all like to do but more often than not someone is always unhappy about some aspect of what we are doing - but perhaps i expect too much??

Anyway enough of me waffling on!!!!!

Hope everyone has a good day

Penelope Penguin - you have convinced me to grow courgettes next year!!!!!!

Yes I think will def grow marrows next year, we only moved into this house 18 months ago and spent ages going the front garden, have only made a start on the back this year and so far just sorted my herb garden.

My Mum always used to grow them and I remeber as a child etching out our name but then I hated marrow - amazing how your tastes turn around.

Thanks Snowangel - I too am a bad patient especially with a cold - I dont go to 'manflu' proportions but am in a constantly techy mood until its gone!

Just a quick post as I'm off to wash my hair and have a bath after yesterday. I just didn't have the energy last night to try and do it :o I didn't realise that Johanne had so much stuff  I was told 2 beds and a chest of drawers.

Nothing planned for today as my back is aching and I'm exhausted so... I'm going to have my bath then wash the dishes (none got done yesterday as I was either out or helping DD with division & multiplication) and I need to sort some washing out which I meant to put on the maiden yesterday but forgot :o Also need to put some of it back through the wash as some little darlings threw an egg over the wall and it smashed all over the wall and splattered the yard while I had washing out. It should only be some socks that need re-washing, but I've got washing to do anyway  Right, off to check on money then I'm off for a bath.

    Hi all.

A special good morning to all the early birds who've allready posted Ageanjo, Elona (those gifts are a fantastic idea. I'm sure they'll treasure them), SOM, funky fairy, PEn pen, Penny pincher, Essex girl, Twink, Icemaiden, Troo, HardupHester, moggins, snoozer, Jan59, Freya, Snowangel, Kiwichick, Shell2001, RonanKfan and lynsayjane.

Up later than planned this morning. I'd best make sure I do get an early night tonight and set the alarm as I've got to meet Moggins at the crack of dawn tomorrow... (ok, it's after 10am,lol)
I'm seeing the doc later and I'm thinking perhaps I ought to see if I can have something to help get me back to sleeping earlier in the evening as my body clock is all to pot.
I've got a little list of to do's today (though the 'should do's is huge), and this eve I'm taking DS3 to the cinema and dropping the other two there also for them both to meet their respective friends to watch their films.
Well, I'd best crack on. Hugs and best wishes to all.
    Kaz.
Ps Hi nicki - you posted while I typed :D What is a 'maiden' when you're referring to your washing???

Morning ... can't stop as I'm supposed to be running a colleague through some work I used to do. Had a VERY early night last night (well, was in bed by 8 watching telly, and went to sleep about 11:15) and I feel much better for it - I felt lousy yesterday. Woke up with my heart racing though, panicking about the fact that my prospective mortgage lender has booked the valuation survey for tomorrow, and I'm terrified that they'll turn me down because the block has (not yet let) retail units on the ground floor. I have emailed my mortgage broker to ask him to put my mind at rest, as I had made him aware of the type of building before we applied for the mortgage. I'm told that the lender likes new-build but I'm really scared! Anyway ...
