Hiya everyone :hello:
Have just got the boys in the bath - the intention is for DS2 to be asleep BEFORE 10pm!! He's just so tired but his body-clock has gone skew-whiff. He was still up at 7 am and as a consequence hasn't wanted to do much today, except be miserable. DS1 hasn't been much better
Managed to put BM and WM on today, although my neighbour is still borrowing my WM as hers isn't fixed yet, so it's had quite a few loads through it. Was going to make a vat of bol sauce, but that can wait until tomorrow and I'll do it in the SC as I'm out at mum's all day. I've finished another huge pile of ironing and started putting together the clothes for the holidays (as well as getting sidetracked into tidying the boys rooms/sorting their wardrobes as there's a charity collection from the doorstep tomorrow so that will save me a tri into town - I have loads ready to donateI may even manage to sneak a few old baby toys into the bags ...... shhhhhh
I hope everyone is managing ok today. ((hugs)) still to elona. I went to register my dad's death and it was all very strange, like I wasn't talking about anyone I knew. It takes time hun, even having been able to prepare yourself for the end, but you'll find yourself being caught out by emotions at the strangest of times.
Anyway, must get these soggy boys dried off and into PJ's. I think I'll pin DS2 down in bed until he goes to sleep cos I really want some "me" time when it's early enough to enjoy it. Have to be up early because I'm going for my pre-holiday waxing at 9am (normally DIY, but want it done properly at least once a year)
Blimey - I think I'm going to find more water on the bathroom floor, by the sounds of thingsAh well, they aren't fighting (ATM!)
Catch ya later

ps it's so miserable and wet here and we're all so tired and therefore cold, I've put the heating on. Ah, these long hot days of summer, eh? :rotfl:0 -
Great! I've just checked the weather forecast for tomorrow and it's going to rain. The one day I pick to take them to the seaside
Looks like I am digging out a fleece for tomorrow.

well i had a good day and did most of the things i'd planned. got my prescription, will drop it into boots tomorrow on lunch break (best bit about working in town), went for a swim at the gym and went to see miami vice after ( colin farell
yummy). putup my stocking instructions and did my weeks shopping. all i forsee buying food wise for the next week is milk, and maybe some booze if i do go out next weekend. oh and food shopping only cost £6.53 so well within £10 budget
and my recharger for batteries was cheaper in comet so i picked it up for £7.99. it's on my cc i'm afraid but i get paid before the bills due and its 0%.
the remainder of the evening i shall be spending scrubbing tiles (i really need to get my finger at as regards this), perfecting my cv and finding jobs to apply for.
hope everyone has a nice evening!!!0 -
Lynsayjane-what was Miami Vice like? OH wants to see it, but im not sure.

Another day done - only 3 now to the weekend! Got lots done in work today though, so it wasn't a bad day at all. I was also practical (for a change) and remembered to book a dentist appointment as I'm overdue for a checkup. It's not until near the end of September, so don't have to start worrying about it for a while yet
Went to Lidl on the way home and saw some really nice stuff - they're selling large boxes of 'bixies' (like weetabix) for about £2.70 for 72, so could be good for all of you who make the weetabix cake/brownies? I haven't looked at the price of weetabix in the shops recently so not sure if its a good offer or not, but thought I'd mention it. Picked up a few things while I was in.
Pooky - I love the cards. I got some craft stuff through the post today - going to have a try at decoupage. I'm really tempted to start them tonight, but I've a cross stitch card to make first, so really should make a beginning on it soon.
Take care everyone and have a good evening!0 -
Moggins - hope there's a sudden shift in the weather for you tomorrow hun.

Thanks but at least it means I don't have to take swimming costumes and towels
Does mean spending more money on the pier though. Oh well, I must head off to bed, ironing is done, I just have to shove some things in the rucksack in the morning and we'll walk into town to catch the coach.
DH has gone to work, I'll be gone before he gets home in the morning, I hope I get home in time to see him before he goes to work tomorrow night.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hello Again
First of all my hugest hugs go out to Elona, so sorry for the loss of your dad.
Well I managed to get into town, but my good mood diminished very soon as dd 3yo decided to be an absolute little menace, I find it so hard to cope with her sometimes. I have decided I need to book a docs appointment and get some anti d's as st johns wart is not strong enough. I am also going to call the h/v again to see if she can get me some help with her, as I know she is unlike the other littleuns and think she maybe adhd. I know a lot of kids play up , but this is different she seems to constantly forget what she she is doing and go into her own little worls, where she doesn't hear a word I say. She is the most amazingly intelligent little girl, but at times she drives me nuts.
I also forgot to buy pretty much everything I needed even with a list in tow and poor dp has had the brunt of my anger and frustration thrown at him tonight, so I now feel totally guilty.
Never mind hopefully tomorrow will be better, I am going to write a list of things I need to buy and get done and try and get through it again, will just try to do today again I suppose.
MOGGINs I hope it doesn't rain for you, and you don't spend to much at the pier.
hugs to all that needs them and also hugs to don't

Still not heard from the police, this country is a sham
I think I will make some of them muffins tonight that I keep seeing on here, raspberry and white chocolate:p If I can find the recepie that is:D
Need to put my thinking cap on my mum retires in a months time, need to sort out pressie for her
Off for a browse
Take care0 -
I woke up early and could not sleep so one load of washing is one the line outside - another is whirring away in machine- dishwasher is emptied and I am slurping a dainty cup of tea as I type!
When I went to the hospice yesterday I bought my daughters each a last present from Grandad = each has either a perfume bottle ornament, a fairy on paperweight, a fairy or a crystal pyramid with horoscope sign on base.
That way it helps the charity and gives them each a little something that I know they had admired as we went to visit him each day.
I go to see the funeral director today as I now have the forms I need.

Good luck with the police - I hope something can do done to help you.
Thanks everyone for all the good wishes:A"This site is addictive!"
