Too many struggling students submit these as their own work, and are caught out, either through plagiarism spotting software, or because the essay submitted does not quite fit the assignment question set, or because the writing style is very different to the student's own. It is generally not difficult for an experienced lecturer to spot plagiarised assignments.
Buying them is not illegal, but plagiarising from them; or submitting them under your own name is very problematic, and may well carry heavy penalties. Sure, the OP can buy one, if they so desire, but caveat emptor!
Oh, and you have been subjected to a barrage of abuse... not a barrell of abuse!
why can't abuse be in a barrel? And it wasn't me who was the victim, it was the OP.0 -
This is what I've been told.....
Intro - what you are attempting to achieve, and the examples you will be using to back you up on.
Body - always use POINT QUOTE EXPLAIN. Make your point - back it up with a peer assessed quote (either from an academic book/online journal/online resource) and then either prove or disprove using the evidence/analysis you have done. e.g. if you're talking about literary theory, state the theory/point you're making about it, find a quote that either supports or denies this, then use analysis from a book/poem to back this up.
Conclusion - ALWAYS write a conclusion, it allows you to pull the points together into one big piece of work. Usually start with 'in conclusion' and say how you have either proved/disproved/argued both sides of the point, and which you agree with.
Remember, they don't want opinion, they want fact. They want to see you've read and understood the material given.
Also, look up Harvard referencing, as this is the most commonly used referencing system (of course, if you're told different, use a different one)

These essay sites are rubbish. Had a look at the one posted above, and the quality of them is practically non-existent. I would never, ever submit anything like them. If the OP wants to know what a decent essay looks like then they'd be wise to steer clear of these sites.0

options that should be easy/free:
speak to a lecturer at the end of a lecture to ask about it
go to office hours
email lecturer to ask for a meeting
find someone in the year above and ask for their input
proof read essays for friends and see what you all think is good/bad about eachothers' work
etc
etc
etc
all require *individual* effort, which is the most likely way to get a response rather than the whole year asking for example essays (which to me, as a marker, sounds a bit too generic to be able to answer at all, and also sounds a bit 'whingy' for want of a better word!).:happyhear0 -
I just wanted to thank everyone for all their advice. I got grade A for two of my assignments.
I found reading lots of Jounals really helped in writing the assignments, also looking at the site MrTomato suggested was helpful as I had some examples of badly written essays which I wanted to compare.
Now need to get a title for a dissertation in communication. Any ideas most welcome.

An apocryphal example from World War I of a message being sent down the trench line is
Send reinforcements, we're going to advance
which became
Send three and fourpence, we're going to a dance.
I'd personally go for

It doesn't need to be jazzy or eye-catching, just something related to the topic at hand is enough. I think people get too worked up by the title of their dissertations, when in reality they should be concerned about the actual content. The title isn't anything in the grand scheme of things.0
