wheres my posts gone?

can anyone tell me please why my posts have gone down to 190 from about 600?

just a little confused (nothing new there lol)

Mine have also reduced but at least now i can have a read of MSE without it going capputt!

Also can we have the "Avatars" on as I would like to put a picture of Bertie back on under my username.

If you ask webby he will reinstate your posts. There's a thread under "Questions about this site" board. Not sure what's happening with stars.

Avatars are back on Friday after the tips email (I think).

I seem to be suffering from this too heldaz I can't locate the board that Fran mentions so am emailing webbie (I think!) about it now. Also my count doesn't seem to be increasing when I am posting things. Am about to double check with this now to see if it is in this thread as well as the I wanna > Lose Weight thread....

{Edit - now that is weird, the count did go up when I posted in this thread but not in the other thread.... }

the offer to re-instate post counts was for the top 100 posters onlyand was for a limited period only, it takes time to do each one and can't be done for every member of the site,

the reason they have gone is because when 150,000 odd posts were archived at the end of last year, their disappearance made no difference to the post count on the old site, but when the site was transferred over here, vBulletin recounted our posts so that only posts on this new site were credited in our new count, basically any posts made before last June have been lost from the post count, although as the MSA lost everything before Nov people who posted a lot there lost even more

Thanks Fran & Glad for your replies, seems that due to studying for my CeMAP exam I wasn't around on the glorious 25th to ask for my post count to be reinstated. I could have done as well because it wasn't just for the top 100 posters from the looks of the post counts that were reinstated.

Got an email back from webby too saying they weren't changing anyones post count now and to stop emailing to ask as they are a bit busy, so anyone else reading this thread don't go emailing them with hopes as they are just too busy trying to sort the new boards out to do anything else now.

Oh well, such is life.

a few others were cheeky enough to ask too and as busy as he is I don't expect webby had time to reinstate posts and check who was entitled to it

Am I the only one who is happy to have lost posts? Can now look forward to getting up to a thousand posts for a second time!

I'm not bothered either Jo. I lost over half of mine (being a msa poster :rolleyes: ) and am not fussed either way. Post counts are a bit irrelevant anyway -especially when you post as much [email="cr@p"]!!!!!![/email] as I do
