You lot!! 😂😂
All 11 courgette seeds have now popped up:) Tomatoes are a lot slower, though.... may dow some more next weekend - and take full advantage of DS1's large desk whilst he is not here
Am at work every day this week - has been somewhat of a slog for various reasons - still, the money is a bonus and will go towards topping up DS1's uni fund for whatever he is doing after this degree.... and I get more money every month from now on - DD starts paying rent and her phone bill (no point in transferring it to her name right now as it's a contract (sim only) )- think I will stick that all aside as bonus money somewhere - not sure where, yet!
Have bought ds2 £25 of PBs this morning - needed some cash at the weekend so grabbed some from his money box which has rather a lot in.... so no guilt in transferring a small amount to PBs! - he knows what I've done and doesn't mindI also bought £25 for me from current account purchase rounding this month. And I won £25 this month - from my second oldest bonds, too
Had a lovely bunch of colourful tulips left for me at work yesterday for my birthday last week - they are now sat in a purple jug on the kitchen table, looking very jollyWas a lovely surprise
thanks to my bday and Mothering Sunday we have flowers in the kitchen, the dining room and the living room
Ds2, ds3 and I are still regularly testing - and all getting negative resultsour kitchen windowsill has quite a collection of test kits on that we have now amassed from schools - will be glad to work our way through over the next few weeks and see the pile go down
Quiet part of month money wise, now. Think I should get a prolific payout today, so that's also bonus moneyOther than that not much to report!

I still have flowers in 2 rooms
Not much is happening here - it's that quiet time of the month in the run-up to pay day.... I did get my payslip from invigilating today, though, so will tfr that across to savings when it comes inShould also get some money from Cover work @ school 2, too..
And DD starts paying us from this month end, too - we'll be rolling in it!
On the subject of work, I was talking to a new invigilator @ sch 1 the other day and they asked if I did anything else - I said about Cover @ sch2 and they said they'd seen an advert for Cover roles for a different sch but it wouldn't work for them, as not worth the travel time. I decided to have a look on the website when I got home, and the role is still open, so I will put in an application - and would drop cover work @ sch2 in favour of cover work at this other sch (sch 3) - as it is much, much closer to home than sch 2 (less than 5 miles, as opposed to more than 15 and also much reduced travel time) - I'd effectively earn more, as I would spend less on fuel and less time travelling (making it much more worthwhile to go in for 2 hours than it is to do that at sch2) - in fact, out of peak time travel I can get there in 15 mins. It is also where both I and DD went, so that's a factorI'd still keep invigilating @ sch1, though - 2 ad hoc roles like that seems to work fine
As well as that vacancy, though (doesn't close until mid April) they have a term time only, 20h/ pw admin role...... I've read it and could definitely do it - but appreciate my admin experience is not really current - and they may well have people just as capable (or better) of doing the job with bang-up-to-date experience - especially in the current climate - it's a bit of a dream hours job for a lot of people! However, nothing ventured, nothing gained - so I have just sent in an application (closes tomorrow afternoon) I haven't told either of my current bosses about it..... will cross that bridge if necessary! Sch 2 I don't feel much loyalty to, but Sch1 I do..... I think 20 hrs a week as a 'regular' job is about my maximum limit (yep, I am inherently lazy!)
Can't believe Easter is almost upon us - seems so early this year! My 2 don't break up until Thurs 2nd, though - so we still have 5 full days left. I'm working tomorrow morning and then Mon am and pm - and then that's it for invigilation until June (and that's not definite - very much a 'maybe') Am looking forward to having DS1 back 2nd half of the hols though - especially as it is his 21st bday during that week

@greent sorry to hear about the car (save £12k in '21) - mine has done it twice - first time maybe 15 years ago he aquaplaned across water on an adverse camber and braked, flipping it into a ditch against a tree. Second time in Sep 16 on a Friday evening driving home from school (new term) after a hard week he dozed off and rammed another car in a stationary traffic queue he had not noticed; writing both off - he is not a bad driver but he rarely drives my car...Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far
