Totally agree, life feels so good with the sun and the first flowers blooming, its lovely to see. And wow, that's an impressive list of extras, greent, really something to see it listed out like that. Also a fantastic savings rate, may I say! Good for you - and enjoy the weekend.2023: the year I get to buy a car5

DH managed to get the lawns mowed this weekend, which was good - garden looks so much better already as a result
I've dug out the solar string lights from the shed and hung them around the garden - 3 lots are not working well, though (lots of missing lights) so will look to buy some new ones (it's my bday coming up and my mum asked what I wanted, and all I could think of was garden centre vouchers) (also need some compost and some decking cleaner and treatment - what glamourous spending!
)
DD started her job yesterday - had to go to a very local office (c 1.2miles) first for ID/ photos etc and then someone took her to the 'normal' office (in town centre) She had a late start - she didn't need to be at the local office until 9.45About 3.45 she found out her actual working hours - she finishes at 4pm - but starts at 8am! This was a massive shock to her - we've all been wondering if it was 8.30 or 9am start. Her lunch break is also (a weirdly precise) 36minutes - no wandering the shops around for her! - not that there's anywhere open right now! So (bless her) she was up at 6am this morning - which was before DH & I
(I'll be getting up at that time when the boys are back at school - am making the most of it this week still and breaking myself in with 6.30am alarms) and was ready to leave the house at 7am. Dress code is super casual right now - so she's picked up some more jeans and a couple more casual tops (her wardrobe as a student was jeans and tshirts/ vest tops - but the tops are mainly looking bedraggled and holey now and the jeans are a bit tighter than when she bought them - lockdown poundage! - hence the need for a couple of new/ smarter - and well fitting! - pairs. Thank goodness for supermarket clothes.....

I've made a small OP to the BTL mtge today to reduce the balance to a nice round figure. Can't believe that it has been SSTC for over 6 months and it's still nowhere near having a date set for exchange, let alone completion.... sigh!
Any other news?.... Two small (both in size and £) flebay sales - all adds up, I guessStill struggling with getting quotes from tradespeople... sigh... Ooh - but a positive piece of news is that DH is getting his C0vid jab on Saturday
(is in a higher group than me due to being a T2 diabetic)

Ah yes, the 36m lunch break - based on an out of London working week minimum, from the days when London workers did an hour a week less to compensate for their commute - that was back in the days pre working time directive maximums of 48 hours. Negotiated through the unions-civil service wide Whitley Committee Structure across all Departments. That working week is still used for leave and pension calculations, so worth her being aware of itSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

I don't have a directed working week. I have 'reasonable hours'. Sigh. There is nominal figure somewhere of 1265, but if you divide that by the number of teaching weeks (39) per year, you get 32.4. Something doesn't quite add up there...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

Everything sounding fabulous GT. DD's job through to the extra money made through little bits. I hadn't though to to try and calculate how much I had made from all sources in February like you, but I may be tempted. It may spur me on to continue if it's a worthwhile number.
I'm still having problems with workmen as well. Seems madness tht you are sat wanting to pay money out and no-one wants to take it! Anyway, it will sort at some point no doubt.
Why is the BTL still at SSTC? Are they really still wanting to buy? If so what is the delay?What I do not give, you must never take by force.

So exciting for DD! Not having time to shop is probably a good thing?
It does seem really odd that it's been 6 months, but my purchase took around 5 or so months. Fingers crossed for you.6
