Sometimes it's just right to have matching items. Occasionally I try but I can't even match my socks so..
That icecream sounds amazing and I want it. Your dedication to decluttering and selling are just incredible. Please can I borrow some?8 -
I love mismatched places/ pieces - sadly, I lack the flair/ skill/ confidence/ je ne sais quoi to carry it off - so I play it safe and go matchy-matchy. When I try mismatched it fails - miserably!
The farm gelato is yummy - I had a biscoff crumble cone, DH a double choc (white choc pieces in milk choc icecream) and we brought home a freezer tub of stracciacella (??- like v1enetta) for the children, seeing as they declined to come to the actual farm!
If I wasn't (semi)dedicated to getting rid of things we would have disappeared under a huge pile of 'stuff' by now!Sold 4 books for DD this afternoon
(her books are immaculate - she's one of those readers who doesn't even crack the spine at all!) Also managed to give away 1 pair of school trousers via fb00k. All listings are remaining on fb00k and will be reviewed once CS re-opens..... I like decluttering and organising and would happily do it for others
(but not as a business, just for fun) And I received in a lovely bunch of daffs
from the lady who collected the trousers (she collected several other things in the week) -, bless her
Not much else going on here - popped into Tesc0, as we have the main way out of our road closed this week between 9.30-3.30, so getting out onto the main road requires a detour and going a way I'm not keen on, so thought I'd stock up on milk and some veg today insteadPaid for by a tcb payout (cashed out into Tesc0 gift card) so I transferred the equivalent (rounded up) into my holding account (will split it at month end)

I prefer to put a dinner or cake plate from one service with a tea plate from the same pattern but sometimes I go for colours (I have some two tier kits rather than the three). The other thing to look out for is the bottom of the plate that needs that hollow or it will need feet to stop it sitting on the screw at the bottomSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Cashed out £10 from a receipt app today into an Amazoon voucher - now have £55 in my Amaz account- may look for something to spend it on!
Transferred £10 to my 'holding account 'in the meantime to deal with it at month end
Am also 1 receipt away from £5 on a different shopping app
Weighed myself for the first time in few weeks today.... oops! Last week was VERY indulgent! Have spoken suitably sternly to myself and today I have been for a walk and also been for a short walk - total steps for the day are over 12k, so not bad. Food today also good - just need to keep it up!
Overall am pleased with Boris's announcement today. Let's just see how it goes....
Beautiful day here today (after rain initially before 8am) - blue sky, mild temperature - definitely signs of Spring - whoop!!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £208 -
A few friends have d@nby and it lasts so well, since lockdown I’ve given away all our plain white cheap stuff and been replacing with emm@ bridgewater and so far no breakages either, also I feel crockery is in use so much why not make it one of things you love to look at 😬
I’m with you needing to get back on he weight loss train greent, best of luck with it 😊MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁7 -
After afternoon tea last week where I used a paper tablecloth (left over from a child's party maybe 10 years ago?) I had a hankering for an oilcloth one (we have cream linen ones for 'best') - found some I like on glebay and amazoon and then found a bargain one at Dune1m so ordered that to check it out (through tcb, of course) - went to collect it this morning (arrived there as it opened @ 9am) and passed Sainz on my way - realising as I did so that itsa Tues and therefore a day to be able to use both last week's and this week's n3ctar offers - so I popped in on my way back (after checking the offers in Dune1m car park) - ended up buying items and getting 1230 points for them (plus the 'normal' points) cashed in £10 of points to help pay for them (still have over £90 worth left) so transferred £10 to my holding account when I got back. As I now had the last required receipt for one of the shopping apps I also cashed out £5 as a Tesc0 voucher and transferred £5 to folding account for that. And checked the and cashed out just over £5 as Tesco card from there - so transferred more money to holding account for that! Good start!
Have been for a walk with DS3 (and DD) during his PE lesson - it's very windy out today! The canal is very rough and slapping against the edges. We still managed to feed some ducks and swans (and the inevitable gulls) with the crusts from last week's afternoon tea sandwiches and also a couple of the end crusts from HM loavesI have a new loaf on it's final proove - should just about be ready for lunch time (1pm ish) - although I'm having a small amount of leftover curry bulked out with leftover chickpeas and some drying out mushrooms - am going to avoid bread most of the time again (too more-ish) so will have a couple of spoons of leftover wholegrain rice and quinoa mix with it to mop up the sauce
Ooh just noticed it's started to rain - good timing for our walk, in that case!
Off to do some ironing to some cheesey tv now.

Received £4.27 cashback into ll0yds ac this morning from a Sainz purchase made in Jan so have transferred £5 into holding acct
Have also bought another £75 of Premium bonds and transferred £150 into random savings acct to make it a nice round figure in there
. Current account still looking good with payday for DH on Fri (I think) and I should also get some pay this week for a couple of morning's work at the start of this month (will look to save mine completely, as it is bonus money that we do not rely upon/ need for monthly budgets) MY CC bill is <£30, so will pay that in a mo. No idea what DH's will be - it's always huge -even in lockdown it's £6-700/ mth... no idea what he spends the money on, either!
Small flebay sale packaged up ready for courier to collect tomorrow (no extra cost at the moment and saves me the fuel driving to drop it off!) Net proceeds for it already given to DS3

Ooof! - it's the end of the month (well - almost - it's payday, so that counts!
)
£2300 saved this month (not including small mtge OP, money saved for uni costs, money saved for annual bills and monthly amount saved towards house maintenance) - not badSplit any extra money between premium bonds and uni account for DS1 and put the small amount of pay I had for a couple of mornings work into my S&S ISA. Benefitted this month from no council tax, still hardly any commuting costs and some extra monies from various places.
Extra monies include:
Streetbeez & Qmeeee £2.46 (you can tell I don't really bother with these!)
Pr0lif1c £16.36
Money from an acct forgotten about £24.99
Flebay & fb00k sales (mine) £105 ish (the kids also sold some things, but got the money, so not included)
Tesc0 CC vouchers about to expire £29.50
TCB payouts £31.55
N3ctar points spent £10.00 (earned/ won more than this in Feb, so points bal still increased in mth)
Shopping app rewards £15 (taken in amazoon and Tesc0 gift cards)
Bank acct cashback £4.27
+ a bank reward (£3 net) and tiny bits of interest
Beautiful very Spring-like days here this week - although we did wake up to a frost this morning (was a very clear sky last night) - took advantage yesterday and dried a whole wash load outside - the only things still damp at the end of the day were waistbands on 2 thick pairs of joggers. If I ever manage to get their laundry from DD and DS1 I may do the same today(love line dried washing -it smells the absolute best!) Also did a very tiny bit of weeding/ pulling up dead plants/ leaves from last year. Lots to do in the garden - hoping to get some of it started in March
Life just feels so much better with the longer days, some bright sunshine and the sight of pretty Spring flowers popping up here and there!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £207
