Suffolk_lass said:Great example. You must feel so much better for the weightloss. I seriously need to kick myself up the proverbial in that department. Eating less but far to many make-do snacky stuff.
I'm still snacking at times between meals - but it's mainly slices of ham, cucumber sticks and houmous or a protein yogurt (had several free with a shopping app)

Hmmm - I think I never finished my other post on the 26th!!
Anyway, we've been a bit social this past week - bbq at best friend's house on Sunday (me , DH, best friend, her DH, her brother and his gf) - mainly outdoors but then in the conservatory with arranged seating at end of evening, as it was bit parky! Then meal out with best friend and her hubby on Tues for her bday, back to hers after for a cuppa - where we again socialised with brother and his gf, as they came to drop present off/ have a drinkAnd then Weds was our silver wedding anniversary, so DH and I went out for a meal - sat outside - thankfully it was a mild evening! Thanks to the 'eat out to help out' scheme our 2 nights out cost us less than £50 in total! Bargain! The Weds meal was gorgeous - we went to an independent Italian which only opened at start of the year - amazing service, and absolutely beautiful food
We've also had some health drama in the household - DD was rough over the weekend - tight, painful chest, hurt to breathe - had been like that for a few days. Eased on Sunday (hence why we went to bbq - which is only across town, so not far) and then on Monday was still there but ok - made decision to call GP on Tues (Mon is always horrendous) - however, around 4.45 she got worse, so we made her call 111 who said she needed to go to A&E. Anyway, several hours later and 2 ECGs showing several episodes of SVT (supraventricular tachycardia), some blood tests etc she was released with a referral to AMU. Off to AMU the following day (Tues) - 2 more ECGs, loads more blood tests, a sitting/ standing/ lying down test and she came home again after several more hours - no more SVT that day and they think it's stress related - her resting heart rate is 150bpm!!! She's to keep a diary of occurrences and call GP if worse. She's much better for having had a likely diagnosis of stress - she's still got a fast pulse and tight chest and occasional palpitations - but much better than she was. She is stressed by her dissertation, even if she doesn't realise it - plus DH is slightly nagging her about applying for jobs, which I guess doesn't help, She was fine with us going out Tues night - again not far and neither of us were drinking at all. (plus worst case scenario my mum is 5 mins drive away) and we were home by 10.30 the one night and 9.30 the other.
SO aside from all of that it is DH's payday today - thanks to Mon being a BHol. Will leave shuffling until Mon/ Tues - want to see how big his CC bill is - mine was horrendous this month with all of the school shopping on
We have had most of one side of our back garden fence replaced this week - in between rainstorms. Looks good. We are still open plan to the front, though - but as we have been that way since Jan/ Feb we are rather used to it!
Next week getting up to early alarms for the boys going to school is going to be tough.... sigh... I still need to label all uniforms, take up some trousers for DS2 and blazer sleeves for both boys... job for the weekend, methinksI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £207 -

Congratulations! Sorry to hear of DD's issues
I'm not surprised she doesn't *feel* stressed - the stress is all coming out physically, I suppose - its how I used to think of it about my chronic fatigue. But having caught it early is a great thing, good luck to her.
