How sad about the gpig
but necessary action to prevent unnecessary suffering. Must be odd not to have any any more. And I hope your rowing is going well right now

Aww sorry about you gpig. It was the right thing to do.
I've lost about 4lbs so far on my diet - got to keep it going. I want to lose two stone on the strict bit and then just keep going on the maintenance bit as if I don't treat myself I do continue to lose. I am was about 4-5lbs heavier than when I stopped being good so the change your metabolism claims really seemed to apply to me. I broadly follow the Fast 800 principles that Michael Mosley recommends - I notice he is doing a "lose a stone in 21 days" programme next Wednesday. Good for a bit of inspirationSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

Thank you, all - it's weird things that are 'wrong' about no longer having any piggies - pulling up carrots from the garden and feeding them the tops etc.
So... I'm now just past 1 1/2 stones lost since start of year - whoop! Trying to do min 4 exercise sessions/ week (zumba, rowing, crosstrainer and will go to gym this coming week) and avg 10k steps/ day (so walks don't count as exercise sessions - they are ambles) A tiny bit more sees me into the next stone down - am hoping for that in a week, but this week has a bbq at a friend's house (so no control about what is there), a meal out for best friend's 50th and a meal out for our wedding anniversary. so we shall see.
BTL property has sold - to first viewer for asking price within 30 mins of their viewing time - Est AG hadn't even got as far as doing draft details! Fingers crossed it progresses to completion smoothly (unlike my Nan's house, which still rumbles on - but is no longer my issue to deal with) DH wants to buy a motorhome with some of the equity.....
Crazy back to school spending continues - as well as totally new everything for change of school for DS3 DS2 has grown out of literally everything, so it's a full set needed for him, too (and crazy prices for the PE and games kit) Still not finished yet... stock supply issues....
Once BTL has gone we will no longer have any mtge - will be weird. However, this board is my 'home'

Great work on the BTL sale, is there any chance of a cheeky request to the EA to reduce their fees as they had less work to do....? Probably no chance I'm sure!
You're not allowed to leave once fully MF - we need people like you around to show the rest of us that it's possible and all the fun things we can do on the other side 😀Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Great example. You must feel so much better for the weightloss. I seriously need to kick myself up the proverbial in that department. Eating less but far to many make-do snacky stuff.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
