    well yesterday i went walking did about 3 miles ... loved every minute of it ... i am going back out tomorrow ... but i think tomorrows is a biggie maybe 7-8 miles or so ... so will no doubt have more blisters in weird places and have swallowed copious amounts of pain killers ... but i am enjoying myself and slowly building up my fitness for next year ...

    walked about 5 miles today ... up and down hills all the way to chatelherault ... man it was stunning ... the trees there are just amazing ... what a lovely day for it

    Well done for all that walking and up hills :T

    Not done any walking yet but hopefully when I get more of this weight off I can then concentrate on my fitness.

    I normally go to Uganda in May it is beautiful but also can be distressing when you see the poor children. Didn't go this year because of the arrival of my new grandaughter:j so I am going in December :eek:

    well i walked about 10 miles yesterday went up meikle hill which is 570 meters (what a climb) went looking for ospreys and red squirrels didnt see either but loved the walking ... deff not easy though ... today i am stiff and sore but am gonna walk about 6 miles on the flat to stretch out a bit ... what is everyone else doing?

    Wow I am seriously impressed :T

    I am losing the weight though one thing at a time ;)

    Realised you asked about Uganda I am a trustee of a small charity that works out there with orphans we have also built several schools and a clinic. I go to visit each year to do reports on the sponsored children and to visit the various projects hard work but I love it.

    see i bet alot of you thought this one was done with lol ...

    right today i walked up tinto with a few of the people that are doing the w.h.w we were chatting about options etc ... i am going on holiday soon but when i come back i am going to start booking things ... so i need to know who is still going? so that we can start getting things sorted .... accomadation tents etc

    wow dt that sounds like very hard but totally satisfying work ... hubby and i did some charity work in gambia years ago ... would love to go to various parts of the world and do more when we retire
