Hi Elantan. Well yesterday we went sightseeing in Lucerne. So walked along the river, and then the city walls which are up either very steep steps or a steep slope, don't think you'd have like it!! Then explored the old town bit, really nice and really pretty.

This afternoon we're catching the train in the opposite direction to explore Zurich, so lots more walking today :)

When I'm at home, I have one of those rebok steps to use when watching tv, it is a lot harder work than normal walking. I use a timer for 10 minute sessions, the other thing to try is going up and down stairs extra times, again it burns the calories and can help get you fitter faster.

Today explored Zurich, explored the old town, and the riverside walks, quite nice, but not as nice as Lucerne yesterday. Even ran to catch the train on the way back, must be getting slimmer and fitter :)

Weather wasn't too good today, but the rain held off. Tomorrow's forecast is very bad for the Rhine falls, cold/wet/miserable, slightly better for here. So going to try and find some local lakeside walks, if the weather gets too bad, we can catch a train back, as the train track is parallel to the lakeside for a lot of it, and there are some local stations.

It's nice to get out and about a bit now the weather's improved and it's not icey. If we're going to finish Hadrian's Wall in September, we need to do quite a bit more first. Will be easier if we've got less blubber to carry too :)

Hope everyone's walking plans are going well.

We've started Geocaching again so end today with a tally of 150 finds. Goal is to get up to 200 by end of June, that will get us out and about which is the most important thing at this stage.

Hope everyone else is having a fun holiday.

    Hi,

I clicked on the site and I think we're linked now. A day of caching sounds great. I don't know your side of the world at all but happy to come through if you want to PM me a where and when. Local knowledge helps if you can work out a sensible route otherwise you do some mental zig zagging like I did today. Knew the place, could see the place, could no more find the road than fly in the air. All part of the fun!

well hope you all have been busy walking ... i'm still trying to break my boots in ... it is a slow process and one i dont feel i have made any real progress with just yet ..

today i had a great find though ... was in work discovering new flowers and plants etc and out of the corner of my eye i spotted an unusal site so we hopped over to see what it was ... it was a geocache.. here i was not even looking for them and came across a geocache he he he amazing what you can find when your looking at plants

Umm well OH did drag me out for a short walk on Sunday but I did suggest an alternative route so that we did not finish uphill - still have a long way to go and not done any geocaching yet but I intend to
