Nationwide flexaccount

I'm about to open one of these accounts ahead of my summer holiday abroad to take advantage of the beneficial foreign exchange rates etc. Does anyone know if there is a referral scheme for this account or if I can get points etc for opening it online. I've looked on quidco and greasypalm and they don't seem to be doing anything with this bank.

thanks!

I have just opened a flexaccount plus a cc account. Easy and straightforward process.

I see that there is 4.25% added interest if £1000+ is paid in per month and the e saver gives 4.55% interest

I have just set up the standing order with smile.
  • i asked yesterday at nationwide because i was passing anyway and they said they don't have any referral things, cashback or freebies for opening a flex account.

    Applied Saturday lunchtime in branch.

Account fully operational (cheque book, debit card, and online access) the following Friday morning.

sure malky, but it wouldn't be very MSE of me not to check and see if there were sign up bonuses first would it?

I think it's £300 at the cash machine, and £500 at the counter. You can use both limits, so max is £800/day.

Have you thought about getting a nationwide credit card for foreign purchases? Also with the nationwide card you can get 9 months interest free purchases.
