    Happy Easter!

Just ordered some plants from Jackson Nurseries, got 9 different ones! Trying to pretty up the muddy remains of the garden, thanks to the rain! I'm hoping tomorrow will be a sunny day so I can get out there and start tidying it all up!

  • Gone a little warmer now, but how windy has it been?? I'm surprised nothing has blown away, dread looking outside every morning!!

    Hi all,

I have had a very productive day in the garden, I have made a veg patch/ raised bed. I have planted out my strawberries, mint, lettuce, onions and a second batch of potatoes.

I have planted some more seeds and have potted on my tomato plants so they can get a bit bigger before they go out.

So hopefully, i can't manage to kill everything like I usually do!!!! lol.

I was feeling a bit better today (bad days and less bad days, you know how it goes) so I made a real effort in the garden. Bought another £10 plastic growhouse and bought 400litres of chipped bark. Have made a nice area for pots and planters on what was a piece of nasty looking grass. Very pleased with myself.

Aren't we having the most beautiful weather? it got up to 17 degrees yesterday perfect digging weather.......
Some of the allotment is still a little waterlogged, had the children building the wigwams for the beans, surprisingly good actually....Thank heavens for child labour!
putting my beans in today under "coke bottle green houses" we have a bit of a mouse problem at the allotment and many people seem to do this...
Hope you all have the BEAUTIFUL weather we have!x

It's been bright and sunny here in North Staffs the past couple of days, i've really enjoyed pottering around in the garden. Today is another bright day :j

Had a busy day in the garden today...it's frustrating to have to sit down every 10 minutes and get my breath back but i'm determined not to let it put me off growing my own. Have just posted lots of pics in the Veg Newbies April thread if you want to see what i've been up to.
