I think I can guarantee that he won't read all of the list. If you're lucky maybe the first three "remembers" and that will be it.

I'd put all that stuff in chronological order if it's important that he reads it all and acts on it.

totally know the feeling on this, was away with work last week for ONE night and he managed to break the washing machine handle which meant we couldn't get it open and had to get an engineer out to replace the whole door!

this is the second machine he has broken, the first one we had to replace...

he is now barred from using it! (which I'm sure he's delighted with!! - do you think they do it on purpose so get away with doing stuff?!!)

Lol thanks for the replys. I think some of you may be taking it a a little too seriously if not then no i think everything on my list is justified!

!!!!!! yours made me laugh but i have a feeling you may be right!! if i come home to a tidy kitchen there has been a woman here!!

Dd is 11..doesnt want school dinners and tbh why should she have to just because he can't be bothered to do it for her?..and for those of you who say she should do it herself he always does it as it is the only small part of time he sees her..unless im here then he doesnt see her much at all!

I think your husband is getting off lightly, my list would include dusting, hoovering, bathrooms etc and the odd DIY job that needs attending too.

Enjoy your few days, it will do your husband a power of good knowing what a woman does and learning how to multi task.

I agree, he should make the pack lunch, I don't expect my children aged 10 and 11 to do their own, thats what my Mum did for me and it certainly didn't make me lazy or useless in the kitchen.

Good idea in principle, however, I can't see him reading much of it as he's a guy!

You go and enjoy yourself - I remember a long time ago my DH was made a deputy at a school, and 3 weeks later the head (a nun) went off on long term sick - she left him a note which said " Do what you can. Make decisions if you have to, but otherwise you can't do much damage". It was actually very reassuring!

I know you've said it's light-hearted and a bit of a joke, but I actually think it's patronising and rude.

If I wrote something like that for my DH I'd not only come home to none of it having been followed but I'd probably have received a few choice words in text messages on the matter.

But it doesn't matter, because I wouldn't write something like that - DH just said so
