I've got a little further now.

Put a deposit on the rings and deposit on a limo. My MIL has done the flowers and is about to get the stuff ready for the cake. So were making good progress :j

  • Have been following this thread with interest and picking up so many tips for the notebook. I can't see your dress but would love to know where it's from as have fallen in love with two pieces on FairyGothMother which I could wear afterwards too (So pricey though).

I got it from this seller on ebay: http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZdannywolf1970QQhtZ-1 and also if you do a search for 'goth wedding dress' on ebay it yields a few similar dresses.

I love the Fairy Goth Mother site too and their shop in Camden.

OK I've just drawn up a list of what we have bought/paid for so far and what we need to buy/pay for to come. Can anyone please tell me if I have missed anything out and whether you think my price estimations are about right:

    Paid for so far
Transport to and from wedding - Paid £70 deposit
Flowers and button holes for about 40 people - £24 - Romford Market
    Rings - £270 H.Samuels
    Dress - £125 off ebay
    Favours - £20 off ebay
    Ushers outfit - £30
    Tiara - £8 off ebay

    Still to pay for
Cake - £45 - 3 tiers from Tesco decorated by MIL
    Rest of transport - £200
    Church fee - £170
    Registry office fee - £30
Bridesmaids dress fabric - £70 - made by MIL
OH's suit - £40 either from Asda or ebay
Invitations - £20 - making own so I can have them black
Cake Toppers - £40 - i know its an extravagance but I like the personalised ones on ebay
    Table cloths - £50
reception - ? - parents paying for that
Presents for bridesmaids and usher - £50

    Have I forgotten anything?

I'll wear my normal underwear!!! I'm a fully qualified make up artist and beautician so I'm going to do the make up. I'm not really bothered about my nails. We're saving for the honeymoon and we will see how much we have this time next year and see where we can afford.
