I don't see why not. That's actually a really good idea - I must try it myself next time I make tortilla wraps. Thanks very much!

I always buy them if they are reduced and freeze. Just defrost and use as usual.

  • Fabulous thanks
Hilstep do you think the same would apply if i filled the wraps with vegetables then froze them ? would it just be a case of defrosting them then popping them in the microwave ?
  • I made up a packet of flavoured couscous and have some leftovers. Could I freeze the leftovers for eating another day cus they won't get eaten over the next day or so?

    Many thanks,
Money paid out from Topcashback so far= £105.89 :j

  • I`ve never done it but I don`t see why not. It should be fine, it is only fine grains of pasta and normal pasta freezes ok.

Hi My friend just gave me a tray of caramel cake that she had just made, the cake with the chocolate vermicelli, there is only me and my hubby and he doesn't have a sweet tooth, so can I freeze some of the cake as I would hate to throw any away as it is gorgeous... thanks shrewdal

Is this Millionaire's shortbread? If so, I'd worry that the shortbread may go soggy, but if the alternative is the bin, I'd seal it in a lock & Lock and give it a go :D

My Oh is a good un for grabbing bargains but sometimes he doesnt think it through! He came back from the Co op last night with 2 tubs of cream cheese (one with chives one with garlic) reduced to 20p a tub. He thought he had done well as we go through tons of this stuff...until I pointed out to him that the use by date is today! Bless him his hearts in the right place really lol

I hate to throw anything out, so am wondering if its ok to freeze it? If not is there anything I can do with it that would make it freezer friendly? We love it but I doubt we would eat 2 full tubs by the end of today. Sorry its probably a really silly question!

    TIA x

I've never frozen cream cheese but I imagine it would be fine - most soft cheeses freeze OK. Hopefully someone will come along and confirm in a minute.

I really wouldn't worry about eating it all today, though - it won't magically go off at midnight tonight and will be fine for at least a couple more days, maybe as much as a week. You could always use it for cooking to use it up more quickly - it makes a nice pasta sauce, or mix it with wilted spinach to make a veggie lasagne (very tasty, and one of the few ways I will eat spinach), or use it to stuff chicken breasts or pork fillets before roasting.

    Enjoy your bargain! :)

I freeze cheese cake so I am guessing it would be fine. I also freeze goats cheese. The goats cheese sometimes goes a bit watery but not always!
