    Hi there

Do you have any loan paperwork at all?

This would be of some help, if the account is still running the bank may hopefully still have these details, you could contact the bank by asking them for account number for the loan taken out in year 2000, or call in your local branch, they will not or should not question you on this, you are only requesting for your details of the loan.

However, you could also ask if they still have details of the agreement and ask if they will be kind enough to send them to you, but otherwise you enclose a £ postal order or cheque payment and request they send you a copy by 12 days.

I was surprised to have received info from LLoyds going back to 10 years plus, so hopefully it will be the same for you.

For even more paperwork, you can always request a Subject access request as the last option, depending on if this loan account is still running or settled the last few years then I am sure they will have these details still, with this SAR request, they have 40 days to comply and send all they hold on you, with the payment of £10 postal order or cheque payment.
SAR template letter with details here.

Hopefully though just for a £1 they will send you the agreement by 12 days.

    Good luck.;)

    Hi Sue

As its still open there's a chance they will still have all the details of this account, so I would defo write to them and ask them to send you the agreement, if you call in the branch they may be kind enough to supply this agreement with no £1 charge, but otherwise just write a simple letter to request for the agreement on the account number XXXXXXXX
and that you have enclosed £1 postal order or cheque payment, and expect to receive this by 12 days.

For other documentation then it would be the SAR request.;)

    Hi Sue

The agreement is normally requested for separately, it can sometimes be enclosed within a SAR, but with this one it costs a £1 postal order or cheque payment and they have 12 days to supply this.

Just a simple letter to request for a copy of your agreement, make them aware you have enclosed cheque or postal order and that you expect to receive by 12 days of your letter, and post by recorded delivery.

Within your SAR, you could write back and tell them you believe you have not been sent everything as you requested for in the letter, ask that they send anything else they hold on you, and if they cannot supply anything further you would like this confirmed in writing with an explanation.;)
