YES just as #JC posted Santander limits are £300 / 24hr and not a calendar day.

It would really help the impression of Santander if they mentioned this on their web site rather than 300 / day, as I was beginning to think their system was pretty ropey and their customer help line was not much help until I eventually got thought to some helpful chap in Belfast on their support line who said he himself had been confused until he realised it was a 24hr limit. Seeing that bank statements don't give a time it is not easy to see when you made the payment the previous day..... but its better to wait till late evening when it should go through rather than let it go BACS and wait 4 days.

I guess similar will apply with a standing order with its higher limit but I can't confirm.

Santander's limits are much lower than banks like Natwest but at least I now know where I am with them and when my payments will go faster payment.
